i just wasted 5 months building crypto games. after shipping @addicteddotfun, we went straight into @Jaileddotfun and locked in. no christmas break, no new years, daily calls, building non-stop. we built 2 completely different versions of the prison sim games. poured money into cool animations, bought a ton of assets, ran 4 audits total (2 audits per version). then we finally played it. it just wasn’t fun. now everything we built is basically worthless. back to zero. that’s the brutal part about making games. you only find out if it’s fun after you’ve already spent the time and money. you can’t shortcut it. crypto makes it even harder. once real money is involved, everything gets more fragile, more complex. failure rate is probably 99.9%. but one hit changes everything. axie did. and i still think this is one of the best times to build crypto games. we’re now making a new cat breeding game. if you’re also crazy enough to believe in crypto games, drop a comment. running a private playtest soon.

Why do you think there will be an airdrop? It seems to me that it would be much more выгодно and logical for Base to do a token sale instead. They’ve never really said they care about on-chain activity, and they don’t have a goal of inflating liquidity or user numbers through classic farming campaigns that mainly scale sybils. On the contrary, they’ve consistently stated that their focus is on builders and social activity, which directly suggests they are interested only in real users. And there are already plenty of those — along with sybils. Plus, it’s essentially a Coinbase-backed project.

I found something unusual on @Base when looking for sybil farmers There are too many wallets on Base with activity on mainnet If they do KYC for $BASE airdrop, that would destroy the thing “decentralisation” But what do you think, will Base make KYC to receive $BASE airdrop?

What will be the criteria for rewards from Base? 🤔 As I’ve said many times: Base is a chain that builds real infrastructure for crypto usage. And this is the key point — they are not launching endless quests or hinting at an airdrop to inflate fake onchain activity or attract liquidity for point farming like everyone else does. They are not chasing fake metrics that collapse right after TGE. 📉 Base has clearly and repeatedly stated what truly matters to them — and again, it’s not liquidity and not onchain transactions. — It’s builders ⌨️ and social media 📢 So it’s obvious that the main rewards will go to influencers and builders. 💡 And writing a couple of posts or creating a useless app won’t be enough. — Real user activity will be required 📊 So if you expect to get rewarded “the old way” — you will most likely be disappointed. 😬 Things like early asset, onchain transactions, Base Name, Onchain Summer, and guilds will most likely bring only a base-level reward — something like “a couple of cups of coffee.” ☕️☕️ What’s the takeaway?
