sorry frens. this is a self-shill so i can get hired & survive till mega dominates the earth. but you might get a thing or two from reading. <3 quick recap on my last two roles:- 1) makina. which you probably know me for. It was a creative role i identified from noticing how KOL deals had been decentralized thereby creating a new class of rich people - these rich people were/are creators who earned from infofi campaigns - but idle capital eventually gets used so i had to make them see the money banquet would eventually run out so it’s best to position for more the results? • over $100M TVL in the pre-deposit plus • oversubscribed the ICO by 3.6X ($5.4M in deposits) of course, this was a team effort but my role in making sure they got creators who went beyond users to active voices was well done! i even managed to get a few truly big names on board! I also helped do this at megaeth (though unofficially) - most active contributors on megaeth today came via my own contributions. 2) at Debellum - I functioned mainly as content lead which naturally intersects with handling community. I grew the account from 0 to near 2k in my time there / and helped in developing an actively contributing community ❤️ when I left Debellum, I got DMs from people asking why - that’s how you know you setup something beautiful despite it being so early I also contributed ideas for active community involvement + discord setup & pretty much anything to help Debellum grow that being said - I’m the guy you need if you’re hiring for:- • Growth/GTM • intern/socials management • community building & management • regional growth roles too basically - any roles tied to growth & sentiment - I can help take you uppp - as long as you have something good to offer, I’ll help you get it sold. thanks for reading! The “Nigerians use stablecoins because the naira keeps losing value” narrative is outdated. In the last year, the naira has actually been one of the better-performing currencies, appreciating roughly ~10% against the USD at certain points. If your goal was purely holding value vs the dollar, you would have been better off holding naira (or a naira stablecoin like @cngn_co) than holding USD-pegged stablecoins. So why do Nigerians still use USDT/USDC? Not because of currency panic. The real driver is utility are Commerce, Remittance, access and convenience. > Commerce: Businesses use stablecoins for cross-border payments and imports. > Remittance: Diaspora transfers settle instantly without banking friction. > Access: Most Nigerians cannot easily access fiat USD. > Convenience: Stablecoins move globally in minutes without traditional rails and you can access it right from the convenience of your house. In Nigeria, stablecoins are becoming less a hedge and more a payment rail. They function as the internet-native dollar for trade and remittance not just a store of value.
