The energy isn't to hash the block, it's to protect the network. Also throughout life humans are always using more and more energy as we grow and develop new technology, consuming energy isn't a bad thing. If all the energy comes from renewable sources then there is no issue. In any other industry the onus is on the producer of the energy, not the consumer. Why is it when we talk about Bitcoin that the responsibility is on the consumer?
Lastly, if they call BTC mining 'wasting energy' I like to point out that the only way to waste energy is to not use it. If you create energy and don't use it, it disappears. Even batteries don't hold energy forever. BTC mining is using Energy, not wasting.

Just look at the price action for Solana, if you bought and sold on an exchange none of the issues you talked about mattered and you would of been up 35x. With the popularity of memecoins this cycle Solana definitely had the most attention and traction.
I don't agree with Solana and I don't like the chain itself, but looking strictly at price action he was right.
English

He was wrong. Solana locked out retail with fake congestion as an excuse to prevent selling while insiders drained the liquidity. Not to mention every single project on solana has rugged also solana itself posted fake api data. The list goes on. To defend solana at this point should be considered a criminal act. Anyone promoting the chain is involved in a crime. Tons of people lost everything, many committing suicide. Their only crime was listing to James
English

I stopped listening to James a while ago due to the Solana shilling, but it's disingenuous to say he was wrong. Solana reach a new ATH the start of the year, surpassing it's 2021 ATH. It also had a 35x from the bear market lows. I wish I continued listening to him.
I stuck with Bitcoin and I don't regret it, I just wish I bought some Solana too.
English

James, solana. Had i stuck with it, I would have been just been another victim of the countless rug pulls. I saved myself years ago. Solana is not even back to 2021 prices, and the memes are even worse. I ran to the safety of bitcoin. He's still getting people wrecked shilling solana nonsense.

We're gonna win so much, you may even get tired of winning. And you'll say "Please, please. It's too much winning. We can't take it anymore. It's too much" $HYPE rliquid.

People keep talking about @JamesWynnReal and his trades.
All I see is free advertising for Hyperliquid.

Today marks my 10th day of using @SOL_Decoder automated farming bot to earn fees on @MeteoraAG
As you can see in the PnL below, I started off slowly with profits grinding slowly up, then quickly went downhill 😭, but successfully turned things around quickly in the last 2 days 🚀
Why the sudden losses?
What did I learn?
What adjustments did I make?

@carri_cee The way I look at it is if we ever did need to turn it off, it is definitely something a better leader could do via removing that opportunity. With something like the US where they share land borders with other countries, it's a lot more difficult.

I will continue to actively support my son to get TF out of Australia

"Trump is pushing to raise the top tax rate from 37% to 39.6% for individuals earning $2.5 million and higher" Australia's is 47% at US$122,000. The US will continue to hog almost the entirety of the world's innovation and highly skilled immigration. reuters.com/world/us/trump…

@carri_cee I get you from the Freedom of speech aspect, though I don't know whether cost of living would equate to a better standard of living. I also think in the coming years we're going to be glad we're surrounded by a massive body of water, but I appreciate your perspective.
English

@carri_cee Fair enough. Though what is it that makes you see US as a better choice than Australia?
