This follows a lawsuit from Terraform Labs’ bankruptcy administrator, accusing Jane Street of insider trading. If you’re like me and this is your first time really hearing about them, Jane Street isn’t some random desk. They’re one of the most profitable quantitative trading firms on the planet. Reportedly generating over $20B in revenue in one year. Yes. Twenty billion American dollars. They’re a major liquidity provider across equities, ETFs, options and have been key participants in several large products within our industry. And that’s not all. Aside from the lawsuit, Jane Street has also faced regulatory action in India, where they were banned and restrained from trading in Indian securities markets after being fined over alleged market manipulation in equity derivatives. Now here’s where CT raised its eyebrows. Following all this coming to light… their posts on X were deleted. Which, of course, only fueled speculation. Are they actually behind it?
