I’ve been wearing the new Meta AI Rayban glasses for the past few weeks, and I’m increasingly convinced that the next major computing platform will be built on glasses. I already prefer them over airpods and my iphone for calls and camera, and I’ve started using the AI chat to ask quick questions instead of pulling out my phone. As Meta AI improves, I can see a future where most of my requests are handled faster and better through voice than through typing or touch. I think glasses will gradually absorb parts of the smartphone experience and eventually even add an augmented display. (Livestream bets anyone?) For anyone thinking about where to build next, I’d start tinkering with glasses now. They’re still early, but as the hardware improves, this could become the the platform to build for.
