Matt Damon reveals actors have to suddenly freeze in the middle of scenes when filming entirely in IMAX
"A regular roll of 35mm film takes about 11 minutes per magazine."
"IMAX... this goes through in two and a half minutes."
"If you're doing a scene that lasts more than two and a half minutes, you have to stop in the middle and freeze."
"They reload the camera, which takes about five minutes."
"Then we'd go back a few lines and pick the scene up."

@0yveyy Actually seeing some pretty smart money pickup names like Tencent in recent weeks, too soon to tell if high signal value but I am starting to notice the winds change a little FWIW.

@8valueactivist @MikeFritzell You think there is demand for a HY issuance of IMAX, AMC, Cineplex credit in July 2026 to underwrite this supposed buy out?
😂😂You guys are so F’d on this one. I legit might start short IMAX. 😂😂

$IMAX is our portfolio stock. If privatized, that would make it the fourth name after Activision, Mandom and Warner Bros Discovery…

Richard Gelfond looks tired. His medical leave was from March to May, so almost two months. That’s a lot. I think IMAX will be sold. cnbc.com/video/2026/07/…

@FriendlyCapMgmt I take back my earlier comment. This the douchest post. He didn’t blow up, he didn’t run off with your cash. You soft calling him out over just redeeming privately…..yuck

It's creepy that Michael Fritzell, who blocks me on both X and Substack, still likes to make public comments about me. I wonder what brain structure could make this type of behavior possible.
But this is the moment when I feel like a celebrity, so I feel honored!
To be honest, the recent data we have (and we have a lot of data) about POP Mart's performance in China shows moderating growth, which is in line with what CEO Wang Ning prepared the market for psychologically during the annual results meeting. We publish some of our data at Baiguan Pro (baiguan.news/s/baiguan-pro). If your firm needs to subscribe, talk to our team at more@bigonelab.com
But my personal belief in Pop Mart, as the Fritzell selectively refers to but doesn't provide a link (I can provide: baiguan.news/p/pop-mart-no-…) is not based on short-term performance. Pop Mart is the kind of company that's great to own, and at the current valuation, you can sleep well owning it. None of this judgement has changed just because its share price doesn't pop out like many of Fritzell's core holdings, like Cafe de Coral or Samsonite

@robert_baiguan Is he a serious enough of a person to even be worried about? On the handful of times he's come across my timeline, it's been in the context of saying something so profoundly stupid that I thought it was just a professional troll account.

@jukan05 It’s all in the price and positioning is overweight. Don’t overthink it. Company will settle in again and you should top up.

Looking at the current market mood, it feels like memory is going down either way.
Case 1: If they deliver earnings above market expectations:
“Isn’t this peak-out? Do you really think these profits are sustainable? Memory is cyclical, and this is the top.”
Case 2: If they miss market expectations:
“Memory is over now. Even after excluding bonus provisions, they should have easily printed KRW90tn. Sell on news.”
