Ich werde hier heute mehrfach dafür kritisiert, dass ich das Foto von Stefan Evers mit der "Liebe ist halal" -Regenbogenfahne bei Seyran Ateş für naiv halte - und dass es für mich ein Grund wäre, ihn nicht zu wählen. Da es doch einige waren und darunter auch Köpfe, deren Meinung mir nicht ganz unwichtig ist, möchte ich meinen Standpunkt näher erläutern. Wer mich kennt weiß, dass es mir herzlich egal ist, welche sexuelle Orientierung jemand hat oder wie er sich selbst definiert. Was mich allerdings zunehmend nervt, ist die permanente Inszenierung identitätspolitischer Symbole, wie sie hier auch zutage kommt. Das allein ist es aber nicht. Entscheidend ist hier für mich der Kontext: So anerkennenswert Seyran Ateş’ Einsatz für einen liberalen Islam sein mag, so wenig hat ihr Konzept mit dem Islam zu tun, wie er von der großen Mehrheit der Muslime tatsächlich gelebt wird. Ihre liberale Moschee ist vom tatsächlichen islamischen religiösen Mainstream ungefähr so weit entfernt wie ein Workshop für Vulvenmalerei auf dem evangelischen Kirchentag von der Piusbruderschaft. Das Foto ist deshalb vor allem Virtue Signaling für eine kleine, ohnehin weitgehend CDU-ferne Zielgruppe. Man sollte sich zudem bewusst machen, von wem Seyran Ateş bedroht wird und welche Wirkung solche Bilder in radikalen islamistischen Milieus entfalten. Dort wird niemand sagen: "Stimmt, homosexuelle Liebe ist halal - ich habe mich bisher geirrt." Um diese Milieus zu erreichen und ihre Strukturen zurückzudrängen, bräuchte es ganz andere Maßnahmen, eine andere Sprache und vor allem mehr Realitätssinn. Diese mit dem moralischen Zeigefinger auftretende Naivität, die Stefan Evers hier zeigt, lässt mich zu dem Schluss kommen, dass ich ihn nicht für einen geeigneten Kandidaten halte. Das kann man selbstverständlich anders sehen. Aber dies ist eben meine Sicht auf die Dinge.

I am an LP in a hedge fund of a very vocal fintwit fund manager. Soon I will have been invested with him for 5 years. He's underperformed the S&P 500 meaningfully. I myself have destroyed him with the portfolio I manage myself. He runs 100-120% net long. Should I redeem?

@MehtabKarta I think very little. We have no overlapping positions and I mostly avoid the fund’s sectors

@freemktsfreemen Max DD was a half year long period of ca -25% vs an annualized return profile of LDD

@FriendlyCapMgmt Take his annualized return and divide by his max drawdown (as a proxy for downside risk). Compare ratio to the same ratio for the S&P500 over the same time period (anything less than 5 years is meaningless). This should give you the answers you are looking for.
