If the federal government is allowing thousands of low-skilled non-citizens to work in Canada, and if a growing share of hiring managers refuse to hire outside their culture, a better resume and in-person application isn’t going to help all that much.

I just spoke with both the media spokesperson from the Sûreté du Québec and André Therrien, the 52-year-old Quebec man seen in a viral police takedown video. 👇🏻 is André Therrien's own footage, which he gave me permission to publish, and which preceded the brutal SQ takedown. Therrien walks towards the General Dynamics protest. He is loud and confronts the crowd. His phone then appears to be hit away from his hand as he films. He told me that he secured his phone at that point by putting it away. The viral footage published by @l3v1at4an shows an SQ officer pushing Therrien several times. Therrien told me that the SQ officer told him he was trying to keep him safe, told him to leave the protest, and said he did not belong there. Therrien replied that he had the right to be there, and that if the police wanted to protect him, that they should follow him to the front. Therrien is then shown walking away from the protest and towards his vehicle. At that point, he was alone and out of the protest. He said he was given no warning nor instruction before being tackled. The SQ says André Therrien was arrested for “assault and obstruction” after “aggressive” behaviour at an anti-General Dynamics protest in Valleyfield. In their media relations email to me, the SQ also underscored that protesters must observe Public Health rules, "During these times of the pandemic," and that police officers have a duty to ensure compliance with various regulations whether they relate to the Highway Safety code, the Criminal Code, the Penal Code, or health measures. One wonders if tackling a counter-protester from behind who has left a protest, then punching him repeatedly in the torso while his pants are down, are pandemic recommendations to stop the spread of whatever pandemic the SQ thinks we are currently in. I’m Pascal Anglehart, and I’m running to become Canada’s first dictator. Here are my terms if elected: I will be in power for 2 years. After that term, the regular democratic process will resume. While I’m in power, judges, the Supreme Court, the Senate, lobby motions, pressure groups, and petitions will be null and void. Here is my program: 1. Full stop on immigration and immediate deportation of all illegal immigrants, temporary foreign workers, foreign students, and permanent residents. The process was flawed. We’re sorry. Go back home and start over. 2. Everyone who acquired Canadian citizenship and can be associated with Hamas, Bishnoi, Khalistan, the IDF, pro-Palestine movements, BLM, or any other disruptive foreign force will be deported or jailed without due process. They can either choose to go back where they came from or, if they’re generational Canadians, remain in jail until I’m no longer in power. 3. Aboriginal Canadians will be given a choice. They integrate into the general Canadian population as equals, with all rights entailed, or disappear into the woods as the custodians of the land they claim to be. All funding will stop. 4. Canada will now exploit all its resources. No more red tape from pressure groups. I’ll select a committee of post-PhDs, one per province, to advise on how to make production safe, environmentally friendly, and efficient. Their counsel is non-binding. I’ll have the final say. 5. Equalization payments will stop. Lazy provinces will have to fund their own programs. 6. The federal government will be dramatically trimmed. Provinces will vote yearly on all federal policies, returning Ottawa to its basic functions: passports, currency, interprovincial railroads, the military, and border security. 7. The Canadian Self-Defence and Personal Property Defence Act will be voted in the charter. You can defend yourself, your family, and your property with all necessary force.
