OpenAI doesn't need - ChatGPT (app) - Atlas (Browser) Because they have 70-80% integrated them into the Codex app. Just push it all the way and I would be watching MKBHD videos inside Codex ✌🏻

@Lattice_Node i also have a similar opinion. i’m actively utilizing the harness they provide but lean towards third party model providers. world’s leading harness + cheap models is the most reasonable plan i think.

@Enscion25 can't agree more. what i'm concerned about the superapp is that GPT usage may get tied to the codex quota - just like what claude does already. one of the major reasons i use GPT is because it has a detached code / general chat service and quota.

If OpenAi does indeed have plans to fully replace the ChatGPT app with Codex in the future, it probably won't be the best marketing decision. The name ChatGPT has become known globally, & to some, it's not just an intelligence provider, It's their main point of reference for AI

i used to fight against my AI agents. thought they were stupid. when i got over this and started asking "what made you misconduct my instructions? what was your logic?". i collected data on the 'regrets' and 'mistakes'. condensation of these valuable data led to a good harness.

@Star_Knight12 we individuals dont really need much usage but i think Business level builds are the real gamechangers. a shift towards autonomous operations of the invisible side of modern society.

AI features turned OFF. The commit STILL says 'Co-authored by Copilot.' Thanks Microsoft. You just dug the grave of your best product in 48 hours.

@haider1 i think we want agents to act as soldiers who obey our instructions. no overthinking. no underperforming. Opus 4.7 has too high ego and tries to take over. GPT acts like a soldier on a mission. thats prolly why people prefer GPT these days

to put it simply: opus 4.7 is more like trying to be an experienced dev who plans deeply -- but most of the time overthinks and loses momentum gpt-5.5 is more like acting as an average dev who plans less -- but builds faster and then improves through iterative refinement

@ravikiran_dev7 apple. and maybe google. Notion just takes too much effort to 'optimize'. it provides infinite degree of freedom but i just don't like it myself. exact opposite of apple where things are ready in optimized states. i just have to pick it up and use. simple. MS just sucks.
