I am not you and you are not me, therefore our opinions will not necessarily be the same. After this everything will make sense.

Tell me what are your biggest pet peeves when flying both airport and onboard. I’ll go first: people who don’t put trays back at security! 😂✈️

This isn’t turbulence — it’s an uncontained engine failure. Missing fan blades can cause severe imbalance in the engine, leading to violent vibrations — hence that “free massage” effect you see in the cabin. This was China Eastern Airlines (B-8970) Airbus A330-300 flying from Shanghai Hongqiao to Hong Kong diverted to Xiamen on 3 December 2023. Video was caught by pax onboard Liam_1990 Weibo

A Qatar Airways Airbus A350 performs a go-around during landing in Atlanta, United States, under strong crosswind conditions The flight crew safely discontinued the approach and climbed away. During the maneuver, the aircraft came close to a tail strike due to the demanding conditions and high pitch attitude.

Ridiculous policy. I dislike agreeing with Chris Philp but he’s right. When stop & search is made more difficult its use declines. Fact. People die. It’s that stark. The College of Policing has dropped the ball here. They need to cull a few DEI staff. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/04/1…

@CPhilpOfficial There are plenty of dead men walking as a result of stop and search. A statistic which unfortunately can never be quantified.

More woke nonsense This will make stop and search harder Stop and search takes knives and drugs off the streets We should make stop and search easier, aiming to triple numbers

Disgraceful that Waitrose sacked an employee for tackling a shoplifter I call on Waitrose to urgently reinstate him Of course the failing govt and police must do more to fight shoplifting But stores must support staff and the public who tackle thieves theguardian.com/business/2026/…

@CPhilpOfficial @KemiBadenoch Recruiting 10,000 officers is not as good as it sounds, the Police service are losing officers (most voluntarily leaving) through the back door. Someone needs to understand why there is no longer a retention of a police officers (& prison officers) otherwise numbers don’t add up

Out today in Dulwich with @KemiBadenoch and colleagues from the Shadow Cabinet as part of our Take Back Our Streets campaign. We will drive crime off our high streets. 10,000 more police. Live facial recognition. Real consequences — offenders cleaning up the damage they cause, and tougher enforcement. If you damage your community, you will fix it. No excuses. No tolerance. Consequences for crime. Only the Conservatives have a plan.

@Perky_43 Good character or has never previously been caught for sexual offences? Big leap from nothing to committing a stranger rape.

🚨 A Pakistani who tried to do a runner has been told he faces a long jail sentence after he admitted raping a woman in a West Sussex car park. Suleman Mukaish, 27, from Cambridge Road, Worthing, pleaded guilty to the attack in Lyndhurst Road car park on 11st March when he appeared at Lewes Crown Court yesterday. Judge Christine Laing KC ordered a pre-sentence report to assess his dangerousness as she described the case as "effectively a stranger rape". He was cycling from work on his way home, when he saw the female who was aged In her 20's. He then violently raped her. She says Mukhaish should be under no illusion that a substantial custodial sentence appears inevitable. He is due to be sentenced on 15 June. Prosecutor Chetna Patel told the hearing Mukaish was arrested at Gatwick airport with a one-way ticket to Pakistan. Defence counsel Zacharias Miah told the court Mukaish, who was assisted by an Urdu interpreter during the hearing, was of good character, had studied computer science in the UK, passed his Master's degree and had a work visa.

@obbsie Hopefully if I can secure a job I will be following🤞Nearly 23 yrs service, taken out of my role by Rowley’s redesign, killing the Met further. Hundreds are displaced by a horrendous ‘restructure’. All being forced into a role regardless of skills. We are just a number.

Today I had a long chat with this officer who leaves the Met in a months time. She has 9 years in & a wealth of skills. She enjoys the streets & was being forced into a role she didn't want. Her exit?? interview by an inspector was dismissive. A major UK company snapped her up. What a waste.

@BettyBoochichi2 The government are always keen to highlight the number of new officers being hired but never seen to mention the number of officers leaving the service through the back door. Is there a equal balance in numbers I wonder? Or do more officers leave than join?

I first met this chap in 2023 on a visit to TSG! He’s now retiring after 30 years of policing London. Today we caught up in the sunshine to walk and talk! We spoke about policing and also what retirement looks and feels like......

@end3of6days9 That’s exactly why we have pilots to make decisions such as these. It’s much better to have a problem on the ground than 37,000ft over the sea.

✈️ This pilot flat-out refused to take off… even though the crew had already cleared the plane for departure. He had a bad gut feeling — oil pressure on engine #2 was trending up and the fuel system filter still needed replacing. He told the passengers straight up: “They told us the plane is good to go, but I’m not really feeling it. I’m not going to leave the ground if I’m not completely certain that we have an airworthy aircraft. So I’m refusing the aircraft. I feel a lot more comfortable making this call than flying six hours over the water and maybe having an issue.” He apologized for the delay, then had everyone deplane so maintenance could fix it properly. In a world that’s always rushing, this pilot chose safety over schedule and put every single life on that plane first ❤️ I would you rather have a pilot who listens to his gut like this than one who just sticks to the schedule no matter what... how about you?

@Councillorsuzie @metpoliceuk No point in giving Police more powers to tackle anti social behaviour if there are no Police officers to enforce the new powers. New laws are just a gimmick.
