Lately the market has been pretty quiet.
A lot of projects have basically stopped moving.
But there’s one I’m still holding and following closely: $OMFG / @Omnipair
Not because it’s hyped or anything,
but because it genuinely feels like the team is still building.
The CEO recently shared an update in Discord, very straightforward.
He said the project started from just an idea and some early code that wasn’t even close to production.
And now?
Their AMM has already processed around $1M in volume.
Honestly, in a bear market like this, that’s not something small.
What I also like is how transparent they are.
They didn’t try to make everything sound perfect.
He literally said:
“Lending works… but it doesn’t generate much revenue.”
And instead of forcing it,
they’re pivoting.
Now the focus is shifting toward leverage.
Which makes sense.
Leverage lets people trade both directions, and there’s clearly more demand compared to just lending.
More importantly, he said it clearly:
“Leverage will be the main USP of this project.”
Another thing that stood out to me is that
they’re not just adding leverage as a feature.
They’re actually redesigning the system
so it can support things like:
•TP / SL
•Limit orders
•Trailing stops
•DCA in/out
…without having to constantly rebuild the core.
That kind of thinking feels long-term.
Not something rushed or short-lived.
At one point, someone in the chat suggested adding assets like
gold, oil, and U.S. equities (RWA) into the pools.
And the CEO responded:
“That’s exactly why we built Omnipair
so any asset can be added.”
That’s actually pretty big if they pull it off.
Because at that point,
it’s no longer just a typical DeFi product.
It starts to look like
Forex + equities + commodities all in one place, on-chain.
He also mentioned the system will be spot margin,
similar to forex or perps but not derivatives.
And they won’t use cross-margin,
to avoid the risks that come with that model.
So overall,
it feels like they’re trying to bring a more “real market” experience
into DeFi.
What I respect the most is the mindset.
Even with the progress they’ve made,
he said this clearly:
It’s not time to celebrate yet.
We’ll celebrate when we hit $1B TVL.
From my perspective,
this project is still very early, and yes -it’s risky.
But in a market like this,
I’d rather hold something that’s still building
than something that’s just loud.
OMFG, for me right now,
is not something that has already won.
It’s something that might be building something big enough to win.
