A new @MetaDAOProject decision market just went live. @metaproph3t and @metanallok are proposing an $80k treasury allocation to fund a 6-month academic research program at George Mason University led by Dr. Robin Hanson to experimentally test whether futarchy decision markets actually produce better decisions. Proposal summary: ▪️ $80,007 USDC treasury allocation ▪️ 6 month research at George Mason University ▪️ 500 participant controlled experiments ▪️ Funds paid in two tranches tied to research progress ▪️ Led by @robinhanson (futarchy) and Dr. Daniel Houser (experimental economics) The goal is to produce controlled academic evidence on whether decision markets actually produce better decisions than voting. If validated, this strengthens MetaDAO’s credibility and could attract higher quality founders, liquid funds, and more institutional capital to the ecosystem. If weaknesses are found, it provides an opportunity to improve the mechanism early on. This decision market is team sponsored (-3% TWAP Threshold) and currently trading in the pre-TWAP window with $8.96k pass-aligned volume.
