Another great day at hydrograph. Some things I learned today: How elegant and beautiful in its simplicity is the Hyperion graphene? Well, let’s come pair it to something we are all very familiar with. Hydrograph’s “Chamber Combustion Syntheses Vs Car a Engine Automobile pistons move in cylinders exerting tremendous force and create friction, metal on metal. This adds heat to the engine temperature beyond just the fuel burn. Cycles per minute are lightening fast, with piston air pressure really pushed especially in high performance turbos. RPM and Cycles: Vehicle Engine Cycles Cruising 2500-3500 rpm Peak 6000-9000 rpm Vs Hyperion 4-5 cycles per minute currently. So around 1/1000 less cycles per minute. Temperature Comparison: Vehicle Engine Temp 190-220f (90-110c) the engine temp rises fast in just minutes and it needs special engine coolant fluids to prevent overheating Vs Hyperion cylinder temp rises very slowly when operating. (due to no moving parts and only a few cycles per minute) Even with no coolant and with continuous operation the heat will only rise to 120-160F (50-70c) after which it’s easily held below 70F with just water in heat exchangers Vehicle Engine Peak Pressure Typical 1000-1500 psi High performance engines ~2200 psi Vs Hyperion more than 75% lower PSI than cars yet engineered to handle more pressure than cars. Huge margin of safety. Sound Level: Car engine, banging pistons, often high engine noise, plus exhaust volume Vs Hyperion no moving parts a surprisingly quiet combustion. My take away is that the cylinders and frame etc. could likely last 20 years. The valves will regularly be swapped as per a maintence schedule.
