@CraigHope_DM Aye I’ve seen bad times…but after nearly 5 years of PIF we are not supposed to be finishing 13th or there abouts after spending that sort of money and he is far from elite he’s a stubborn get playing mostly woeful football for a year. Doesn’t want to play twice a week aswell!

For those asking re Eddie Howe’s future. This was from Friday, post Matfen Hall, & situation remains the same. All parties intend & want to carry on. But it’s a little more nuanced than desire. Only with a little more time can we say Howe will 100% remain, but odds are very high!

@ToonPolls Can't believe his audacity. To be looking directly at your camera against gyokores is mental. Is say that as at this point I think it's a private joke between yous two 🤣

@LukeEdwardsTele I know woltermade has ability but I haven't been as convinced as other fans. It does appear though in his time out of the team he's become a better player than when on the team. Fans go on about his pass to Wissa, that's why he was in midfield. To replace technical aspect of BG39

Not much surprises me about social media but today has. A little anyway. Some of the wild conspiracy theories, the accusations, the abuse. All for writing an article about why Newcastle’s three strikers have failed to replicate the goals scored by Isak last season. Oh and Newcastle will be in the market for another centre forward this summer. Probably tells you the reality of the situation #nufc

It's funny how fans are happy to support the success, but during a bad season they want that same manager gone. Poor decision making by players isn't the fault of Howe! Decisions have cost us in last 2 games alone. #nufc

@Magpie24_7 Do we forgive it? He didn't exactly break someone's leg. Took advantage of poor situational awareness and scored a legitimate goal.

Coventry are back in the big time. However, have we forgave them for this!!!!???? Who remembers the events of Coventry City vs Newcastle United on 8th November 1997? Shay Given does I bet you - and so do I!!! Only four minutes of the game had passed at Highfield Road when Coventry’s striker Dion Dublin embarrassed United’s goalkeeper Shay Given to score one of the strangest goals in Premier League history. I can't watch 'Homes under the Hammer' over this! Coventry’s Gary McAllister whipped in a high looping cross to the far post. His team-mate Dion Dublin made a run for the far post but Given stretched backwards, catching the ball with both hands. Momentum caused Dublin to carry his run off the pitch and he stopped a just short of the advertising hoards at the front of the stand behind the goal. What happened next is still talked about to this day. Dublin began to slowly amble towards the pitch and Given was completely unaware that the Coventry front man was behind him. The Irishman threw the ball out a few yards in front of him so that he could kick the ball upfield. Dublin saw his opportunity and rushed around Given’s right hand side and prodded the ball into the empty net! 😭 The goal was allowed and the game finished 2-2. After the game, Shay Given laughed the incident off, saying that he was the only Irishman not to know where Dublin was! Do we forgive this yet!? 🤔 Check out the goals from the game below, including a beauty I remember equally as well as Dublin's cheeky goal from Rob Lee, with a th#nderc#nt of a strike 💥 youtu.be/eTVJn1BYqnQ?si… #NUFC #NUFCFans #Newcastle #Coventry

@NUFC_HQ Why should they, they're not dragging anything out. It's a section of fanbase making noise.

If the club truly backs Eddie Howe the they should say it publicly. Dragging this out only fuels uncertainty, especially with tough games still to come. Draw a line under it, shift focus to the summer, and move forward together. Clarity now helps everyone. #NUFC

They don't need to clarify, they're not the uncertain ones. Noise is from some fans and media latching on to that. There's still been some good performances, some not the full game, get summer right and he can turn it around and produce what he has already. Look at win %! #nufc

🚨Despite Saturday's defeat to Bournemouth and slump to 14th, Eddie Howe has been told he retains full support from #nufc chiefs. Newcastle aren't set to release any statement to clarify their position on Howe. #nufc

@HACKETTREF Because he just finds a way to defend the ref. Someone had a clip of the incident with schar and bereton Diaz. Dermot said he gave the ref a choice. Find it.

@NUFCcook I don't get the rhetoric of always having to sack the manager. Few games things have went against us, other teams have had luck which always happens, but it's compounded when it's in amongst bad results. He can turn it around.

Nobody likes losing, esp the manner in which we’ve been losing. But fuck me, I wish more folk would have more faith & time for a bloke that is clearly desperate to make it work. That has achieved so much for us already. One bad season. Hope we keep him.

@LiamJKennedy23 To be fair he answers questions very well, it just reactive answers or ones that throw players under the bus. Any other questions any other time, nothing would be mentioned

🤯 Eddie Howe asked if his #NUFC players have 'same fire inside of them' & takes a SEVEN-second pause before answering. “....Yeah, I mean, I'm hesitating because I'm speaking on behalf of other people, and that's very difficult to do. I believe they do. From what I see in the training ground, I don't see any sense of poor attitude or poor commitment to their work. I see a group of players that are always giving their all."

🚨 🇮🇹 Sandro Tonali addresses the continued reports linking him with a summer move away from Newcastle: 🗣️ “I don’t look at social media, I don’t like it. After my ban I changed everything with social media, I just go to training and then go home and be with my family. My life is much better now. 🗣️ “In football if you play well you have to deal with the transfer rumours, but if you concentrate 100% on your game, and you’re happy, you don’t have to think about anything or speak about anything.” 📺 See the full interview with Tonali on Sky Sports News’ “Soccer Saturday Pre-Match” tomorrow morning from 10am. #NUFC @SkySportsNews

@SkySports_Keith There's been a lot of noise from fans so I decided to focus on him one game and seen his determination to get back and win the ball back and the way he celebrated goals. Even if he wants to leave, he still shows passion
