@dailybritainonx No non UK residents owning property valued under 600k in the UK. Higher valued property we welcome as they renovate and employ skilled trades and is of benefit to the UK. HMO rents capped by council. Airbnb council to approve, again cap on numbers. Cap on HMO conversions.

Some landlords own dozens - or even hundreds - of properties, making huge profits while millions of young people can't afford to buy. Should there be a legal cap on how many homes any one person can own?

@BenGrahamUK How much does security measures and loss add to the price of food? Families trying to make ends meet face the costs due to lack of action by GOVT. Labour out.

@MatthewEllis72 @DeborahMeaden @BenGrahamUK Some businesses were in trouble, could be restructured. Under Labour GOVT many would just call it a day. Many were unsavable granted. Yet many well established companies are in trouble now under Labour, not cutting fuel duty will see many go under. This is Labour's legacy.

@DeborahMeaden @BenGrahamUK Homebase went in during November 24, but had been in trouble for years before, reducing their site numbers and mainly going online. Well before Labour came in and nothing to do with the Government of the time.

@DeborahMeaden @BenGrahamUK Deborah have you heard yourself. This is people jobs, mouths to feed, homes to keep over their heads. You are the worst offender for defending the undefendable. You have business acumen you know what Labour have done. Granted covid fiasco ruined many good businesses.

This would be more valid if Bodyshop and Ted Baker hadn’t gone into administration before Labour came in and Carpetright just 19 days after… I haven’t checked the rest but… really? It is tough and will get tougher but a bit of balance here… the ONS is a good source of accurate facts…

A must watch on why the policies and the judges that release violent criminals from jail must be changed.

We need to hold judges & DAs responsible for releasing vicious murderers on innocent victims. Everyone who let this demon walk freely, should be in prison.

@bmay Tbf he does allow comments on his posts, you turned yours off as responses were not what you wanted. You needed time out. Nothing wrong with that. But it is so wrong to think he is thin skinned. Think he has surpassed worrying what people think of him.

Tetchy. He also minimises the Amritsar massacre, one of the ugliest moments in British Imperial history. Fun fact: some voters were so keen to defend its perpetrator, General Dyer, that they crowdfunded for him to retire handsomely. They’ve always existed.

@GBNEWS @GoodwinMJ The working man or woman suffers terrible anxiety making ends meet and getting increasingly put under financial pressure from a GOVT who does not care. Yet they get up every morning and go to work. They do the right thing shame the GOVT and the lazy do not.

@DeborahMeaden Really who gives a flying fig. When it comes to fixing the problems this country has the same lame excuses come out already broken, someone else at fault, defect attention to something else such as Marmelade. Who cares. Haulage companies will be bust within weeks delivering it.

@BenGrahamUK They wanted to introduce a yearly MOT test for non commercial vehicles scrapped this too a few years ago. Has nothing to do with protecting the environment but some idiot in charge trying to justify his position changing things, raise money and actually harming the environment

Jersey has scrapped the planned 2030 petrol & diesel car ban. Whilst not part of Britain, it is a crown dependency. The 2030 petrol and diesel ban was always economically detached from reality. Britain simply doesn’t have the infrastructure, grid capacity, or domestic resources to support a full forced transition to electric. We should be maximising North Sea output, not restricting it. “Net Zero hasn’t strengthened Britain, it’s contributed to some of the highest energy costs in the developed world.

@Artemisfornow It is petty and if that’s what our identity relies on we are in deep trouble… particularly as the name comes from a French word which comes from Portuguese where marmalade originally came from..

The changes are small at first, almost petty but they eat away at British tradition and culture but by bit. Starmer’s EU reset means we can no longer simply call it “marmalade,” because the EU uses the same word for some of their jams. The U.K. must now comply and label it as “citrus marmalade.” All this, even though Britain consumes the most per capita and is credited with inventing the traditional orange recipe.

@KirstieMAllsopp @Torious_sponge Strange is that is what bothers you most. We have many working some good jobs paying 750+ for room in house share Council no chance, rent alone too expensive. Mortgage very hard some are now into 40s. Living until 40 then life is over for them no kids. No existence. Is this fair?

@dgpearce1000 @DeborahMeaden Lay off clauses are in many peoples contracts or short term working. Many companies will have no choice but to use this. Many added this on Furlough agreement forms and new starters since 2020 is the norm. If diesel goes higher than 2.00 many businesses can not operate.
