The Yankees are without Soto, their ace, last year’s ROY, and last year’s ALCS MVP. Their closer acquisition blew up, two starters are down from injury, and Bellinger was a 0 offensively for the first month. The fact that they’re doing as well as they are is pretty impressive.

This was a tough part of the #Yankees’ schedule. Padres into the West Coast trip against the A’s and Mariners into the Subway Series. Yankees won all four of those series. 8-4 in that two-week stretch. Next up, the Rangers are in town. Then back to the West Coast.

Think back to the day of the Cole/Stanton injuries and imagine being told this is how the standings would look on May 18th. Hard to complain.
