The “Maple Leafs have no prospects” narrative has definitely taken a hit over the last few weeks. 😉 During the Marlies’ four-round playoff run to the Calder Cup Finals, five Marlies rank among the top 20 playoff scorers. That number rises to seven if you include vets Logan Shaw and Vinni Lettieri. Not to mention Artur Akhtyamov, who has quite possibly been the most valuable player in the entire Calder Cup Playoffs and has been lights out through four rounds. 🔹 William Villeneuve: 19 GP, 2 G, 14 A, 16 PTS 🔹 Easton Cowan: 17 GP, 7 G, 6 A, 13 PTS 🔹 Ryan Tverberg: 19 GP, 6 G, 5 A, 11 PTS 🔹 Luke Haymes: 19 GP, 3 G, 8 A, 11 PTS 🔹 Benoit-Olivier Groulx: 18 GP, 5 G, 4 A, 9 PTS 🔹 Artur Akhtyamov: 17 GP, 2.12 GAA, .927 SV% This list doesn’t even include guys like Ben Danford, who just joined from the OHL, Tinus Luc Koblar, who dominated the World Championships at 18 years old and just signed a deal to play in the SHL next year, and of course, the potential addition of what could be the best prospect in all of hockey in just over 20 days: Gavin McKenna. 😍 #Leafsforever
