@DGoose512 @AfcRo5515 It’s a bit different, we weren’t challenging for titles then, and our squad was worse which made him look better by default when he played for us, like Jesus and zinchenko in 22/23. We’re at the level now where the only upgrades are ready made stars, not big teams second choices

@AfcRo5515 Did you say this about Alexis Sanchez who had a similar situation at Barca? Sometimes a change of scenery for a good player can actually help in his development. Also he might be a better player at Arsenal than at PSG

Dont think Barcola is a good option Why are we going for a bench warmer at PSG? He plays just to keep Kvara and Doue fit for the CL Hand me downs should not be our targets. Get the best players from any team you buy from. We did that this season and won the league

@tobyasky He’s moved about because he’s not better than the players who play regularly in that position, like Barcola at PSG. Not better than kvara, Dembele or Doue, if he were better than any of them, he wouldn’t have to accommodate for them, they’d have to accommodate for him.

Gary has a point but they’re not just listening. Players who can play so many positions suffer sometimes. They’re moved around to accommodate others, and all of a sudden they can’t get hold of a position. Saka won’t be moved around in that squad, same with Jude, but Foden has been moved across every position except his best position. The best game he had at the Euros was when he played in that pocket. I think it was against Netherlands if someone can remind me.

@themagic_tophat @clivepafc If foden wasn’t flexible, he wouldn’t play. He’s a stop gap player. He’s just a good footballer who’s good in a few positions, not a great footballer who’s great in one. Worse RW than saka and worse 10 than Bellingham. He’s had his England chances, he’s failed them all.

@clivepafc Neville sounds like an idiot here saying Foden is missing out because he is more “flexible” than Saka or Jude. Foden is horribly inflexible. He only thrives in a specific system. Anonymous otherwise. As for Saka, he can and has played anywhere on the pitch and thrived.

@jamienight @bendavid1849 @talkSPORT The general consensus is that Arsenal are champions of England and Aston Villa aren’t. We’ve won a league against Manchester City and Liverpool, you’ve won a second rate Europa against Freiburg and Forest. But hey, enjoy it pal, congratulations. Enjoy Istanbul.

@1LMFE @bendavid1849 @talkSPORT I don’t think the opinion of 1LMFE is going to have any bearing on the general consensus across the professional footballing world. You can stop replying now, I’ve finished my lunch in Istanbul, going to enjoy the sights and soak in a European win

👏 "With Pep leaving, he's the best manager in the Premier League." 👀 "Hands down, he's better than Arteta." Jamie O'Hara is convinced Unai Emery is the best manager in the Premier League once Pep Guardiola leaves

@jamienight @bendavid1849 @talkSPORT Oh trust me, I would. UEL winners were top seed in their UCL group the following season, despite that emery would always finish 3rd in his group, dropping down to UEL and repeating it over and over, stagnant manager. Who knows, but I know one thing, it won’t be you who wins it.

@jamienight @bendavid1849 @talkSPORT Still more recent than your last time winning the top flight of English football isn’t it pal? You can keep the Spanish Moyes all you want, so happy we’re not stuck with that Europa league merchant 🤪

@jamienight @bendavid1849 @talkSPORT It’s ok mate, it’s just the champions leagues younger brother anyway, we’re in the big boy competition with the big teams, I can explain what a premier league title feels like though. Just make sure you actually know your facts fella, it’ll save you from embarrassment

@jamienight @bendavid1849 @talkSPORT He did have support, just lost it quickly. You’re basing your opinions of us from AFTV 😂 everyone’s been supporting arteta for the last 5 years completely, even though we won nothing, I’m sure we will see ‘class above’ emery win a actual meaningful trophy soon then.

@jamienight @bendavid1849 @talkSPORT Just because arteta won a trophy with it doesn’t mean it’s a trophy winning squad mate. Birmingham beat us in the Carling cup final in 2011, and were relegated the same year.

@VirgilHilts01 @Breezymh @talkSPORT Of course mate bias plays a huge part and I’m going to have to obviously disagree, don’t doubt Emery’s ability, just never suited Arsenal at all. Congrats on Europa 🎉

Personally I think Emery's achievement at Villa is greater than Arteta's at Arsenal, taking us from a relegation-threatened position to UEFA Cup glory in 3.5 years while working under stiff financial restrictions. But we're all biased towards our own aren't we? Congratulations on the title.

@VirgilHilts01 @Breezymh @talkSPORT But we didn’t go from A-A* mate. We were a C- in the final wenger years, a straight D the whole time unai was manager. Arteta took us from a D to a A*.

@Breezymh @talkSPORT It's relative though mate. Sometime the best teacher is the one who gets a pupil from an E grade to a C+, not the one who gets a pupil from A to A*. Generally speaking, the former will have fewer resources than the latter.
