It's refreshing to see that many of the comments disagreed rather than saying "good one, I almost split my sides laughing" For those who have paid for the roof over their head and don't go out getting smashed every night (why do you need to do that?) a thousand bucks a month (around 33,000 baht) is perfectly doable. What I find most irritating about these pieces is that people seem to be judged on how many beers they can or can't afford to drink. Seriously, does alcohol play that big a part in most people's lives?
