@SirRobinHood2 That's obvious. You are a island heavily moderated by the Atlantic. So small, there is no urban heat island really. You probably need to wait a bit longer to see some warmth.

@metoffice Can you do a more in-depth look at the Isles of Scilly please? It's actually cold today, why do we seem to get very little of the heat that you forecast for the rest of England? John Harding, Scilly

Wednesday will be very warm for early April, with potentially record breaking temperatures for this time of year 🌡️ For some, it may be the warmest spell this early in April since 2020. But it will be brief. Temperatures will drop by up to 10 degrees Celsius by Thursday 📉

@SurreyPalmsWX Lol Surrey! Did you see the latest update. I think it's not on CS3 Copernicus yet. It shows a v hot summer. Like a hotter signal than some of the worst... But I doubt it'll verify.

I’ve got a bad feeling that this will effect the UK’s weather in a bad way. This is currently very far out at the moment but we will see what the effects this could do.

@chrisbell4141 @KSuit2222 Lol nah shouldn't be a wash-out. I heard El Nino to La Nina fast transitions are worst for UK summers. 2007 was that. 2015 wasn't that bad in comparison.

@SurreyPalmsWX To be honest I'd enjoy 25-26, been a long winter. But yeah I don't like over 26 degrees generally. 24-26 is fine.

@20072012is72246 GEM has 25C at low res level in Hampshire and Dorset in the south. But as you say, I suspect absolute warmest will be in SE in or around London. I wouldn’t rule out 25-26C at Heathrow or Kew Gardens. Most probably 23-24C though.

GEM and ECM have temperatures reaching 25-26°C in southern England this coming Wednesday/Thursday. 🌡️ GFS doesn't go above 22°C. Which model will win...? The hPa 850 values overhead will be around 13°C. 🤔
