Sorry but this is a bit hard to believe. Agreed that the tanker services started as legit business to augment the limited water supply by @PMCPune in the newly dvlping areas. But today, most tanker services are run by local politicians who mint in crores but feel punched when they have to pay PMC ₹1500 per trip. Infact, some of them are local corporators who ought to be ensuring that PMC water supply is efficient and adequate across the city. So, you see, the tanker guys actually benefit from PMC’s failure.
About the #tankermafia tag.. well, they have won it by behaving like bullies. Societies are often arm-twisted into taking tankers from particular service provider only otherwise they will be harassed by some political goons on many other civic issues.
The underlying concern is the rising water scarcity in the city. Get ready for more such hunger games-like battles 🙄. x.com/punekarnews/st…
Pune achieved one of the best cities to live in, fast GCC growth, fastest office leasing and many more growth levers recently
All this without proper roads (haven’t seen good roads (even the nagar highway is really bad), no airport, living under big city like Mumbai etc.
Imagine if it had good infrastructure, the opportunity will be immense
Kharadi residents are facing a serious health crisis as sewage has mixed with drinking water. Lab tests confirmed E. coli and dangerous bacteria in the supply, making it unsafe. Citizens say PMC failed to act despite complaints, forcing them to depend on costly tankers.

I think its time someone told the Maharashtra Chief Minister @Dev_Fadnavis - that the Ghazni-like plunder must stop in the State. Everyone I know who knows him - speaks highly of his intellect and intent. But that matters little when actions of the Govt speak otherwise.
Received Instagram DM of girl employee: At Tech Mahindra office, pantry declared “Footwear-Free Zone” till Ramzan for prayers & iftar.
Colleagues asked to follow it in the name of “unity”.
Question is simple: Is workplace policy now religion-based, or should it remain neutral for all?
I visited one of the largest industrial clusters of up annual exports from this cluster+5000 crores total units running 140
Here the condition of the industrial Park
> Broken roads
> Erratic power supply most have to relieve on generators
> Labour inspector coming every month to take 20k bribe 😭😭
Despite all of these they are competing against china in terms of price and quality imagine if we fixed all
Of this nothing stopping from india becoming the World factory that is also the primary reason why our manufacturing % as gdp is stuck at 14-15 percent
@PMOIndia is aware of this mess ???
> Taxi driver driving peacefully with a Passenger
> Suddenly @gurgaonpolice cop stopped the car
> No document check
> No traffic violation
> Asked for 200 rupees bribe
> If not given, get ready for challan worth 10-15k
₹200

This is a historic opportunity for the Supreme Court to prove that it is not corrupt.
All it needs to do is to suo motu order an FIR against Yashwant Varma, something that couldn't be done earlier as he was a serving judge.
A BJP minister lies publicly.
A citizen corrects it via Community Notes.
The govt’s response? Draft a law to delete the correction.
Mar 30: MeitY quietly moved to put X’s fact-checks under MIB; the same body that can revoke media licenses.
Their own official admitted it. On record. Anonymously.
You can’t make this up.
Important: While Justice Yashwant Varma has finally resigned, the Qs remains: Will we ever know whose cash it was that was found at the judge’s house in March last year? Why was no FIR filed at the time, with no police investigation? And what happens now to the report on impeachment that was to be submitted in Parliament’s monsoon session? Why resign now after pleading innocence for over a year? Who will hold judges accountable? Many Qs, few answers.
Justice Yashwant Varma has resigned.
And that is the end of the corruption proceedings against him. No High Court or Supreme Court judge in India has ever been punished for corruption since independence.
If a judge faces allegations of corruption, the Supreme Court itself examines them and may then recommend impeachment by Parliament. If the judge resigns before impeachment, the matter is closed. Though technically an FIR can still be filed after resignation, governments do not do so. They never have.
So technically, Justice Varma walks free with pension, benefits, and title intact. Wishing honorable Justice Varma a pleasant and joyful post retirement life.
