@KevinKaduk I remember going to the Stadium in the early 90s, paying $4 a beer and thinking “I could get a 12 pack for the same amount of money.”
English

@North2North And an average ticket cost is $50, not to mention concessions and parking, yet attendance has never been hire?
English

@PJ_Mooney @sahadevsharma As long as Twinkle Dee and Twinkle Dumb don't screw it up...

@wischlist No doubt, Illinois had three LBs that played at the same time as Fitzgerald and all were significantly better.
English

There were a lot of Big Ten linebackers better than Pat Fitzgerald, among them Dana Howard, Kevin Hardy, LaVar Arrington, Jack Ham ...
Casual Big Ten@casualbigten
Best B10 Linebackers OAT 🔥

@DaBearsTakeOver A guy that played in the 40s, three that played in the 50s-60s, one in the 80s, one in the 90s, two RBs and only two that played in the last 25 years. There's nowhere to go but up for Ben, Caleb, Colston, Rome and Luther!

@CheapSeats411 Part of the free agent haul along with Dave Smith and George Bell that ushered in the Cubs glory days of the 1990s!
English

Cubs legend, Danny Jackson on the bump.
Stirrups Now!@uniformcritic
Let’s get you out to Riverfront Stadium in Cincinnati for the start of Game 2 of the 1990 World Series…
English

@MatthewNichol5 I don’t ever remember any projections for Jason Bere to be a superstar? He was a very good number four starter behind McDowell, Fernandez and Alvarez.
English

Clips of forgotten White Sox. Check out this great All Star game clip from 1994. Moises Alou with the game winning hit. Legend has it that Alou urinated on his hands to get rid of calluses. Many Cubs fans called him piss hands. Alou was a professional hitter. On the hill was Jason Bere, who was supposed to be a superstar. Injuries and wildness were a big issue for Bere. Bere was many of the players who played for the Cubs and White Sox. On another note, let's make Illinois great again and flip it red.
English

@wischlist Wimbledon. Although it wouldn’t be the same as it was when Americans dominated the men’s division.
English

@ChiSoxFanMike He’s a #4 who had an exceptional run for 2 1/2 months.
English

@ChiSoxFanMike And from the Rays, who don’t get rid of players like that. That just shows you the level the Sox front office and scouting is at now.
English

@LastComiskey Great comparison, I’ve been thinking about that since Mid-May.
English

@Sam_Phalen How many games have the Sox won like that though? They arguably stole the first two games against Cleveland at home. All of that evens out over the course of 162 game schedule.
English

I feel like a lot of #WhiteSox fans are downplaying the importance of these losses against CLE.
The Sox have lost 3 straight to Cleveland in extras or on 9th-inn. walk-offs.
Those 3 games are the difference between a 5-game AL Central lead and a 1-game deficit. Tiebreaker too.
English

@wischlist @NYCMayor LOL, someone may want to tell him how the founders felt about expansive government, power and control.
English

Today marks 250 years since a small group of newspaper editors, farmers, and soldiers signed a document declaring our nation’s independence — a truth that feels self-evident now but was revolutionary then.
What a privilege us Americans have, to live in a nation that every one of its inhabitants can shape. What an honor us New Yorkers have, to look out over our city’s waters from the shores where so many Americans bravely entered their country for the first time.
Today and all days, let us remember that patriotism is not pretending our nation is without flaws. Patriotism is every act of righteous dissent — because loving our country means fighting for the best version of it.
Happy Fourth of July, New York City.
English

@Nick_GGTB The rain killed them last night. Kay was rolling with a low pitch count and probably could've gone seven. Now the bullpen is worn out...
English

Really thought the #WhiteSox would split with CLE. Win tonight and tomorrow then move on. Six more with CLE after this series. Sox are being dragged down by known liabilities. Offense needs to overcome the eventual inevitables. Need a lot of fireworks tonight. Go Sox.
English

@Ecnerwal23 I know they’re thin in the bullpen. But they really need to make Grant Taylor the ninth inning guy and that’s it. Use Seranthony in the eighth.
English

@wischlist The offense, not just this year, but the last three seasons now, has been way too hot or cold for my liking. I just don’t trust the lineup. Need to see more consistency. They’re on a heater now. But how many weeks straight did they not hit, while playing about 20 games sub .500?
English

@2025BrotherBill If they get healthier and add pitching, why?
