@20Rated_X No, your the one that clearly brought it up first. You literally replied first saying that the grenades do too much damage and how they shouldn't. I never once indicated i wanted to have a conversation with you. You werent even the person I replied to. You just jumped in.

@20Rated_X Did I say everything was balanced? Things not being balanced does mean I have an issue with anything. You cant have multiple different weapon types and expect them to be balanced between each other. Thats not how it works.

@TheSaltyKing47 Marathon needs more players. So yeah being able to spam grenades is nice for the people that want to turn off their brains and have a HIGH chance to win a fight. But not good for longevity. There’s a reason we’re here and not Arc Raiders

@TheSaltyKing47 Right now there is no counter play. And if you think that a video game where you’re forced to play certain loadouts because playing anything else puts you at a disadvantage is good gameplay. Then more power to you! Same problem D2 has and look at that.

@TheSaltyKing47 And balancing is how you deal with different weapon types lol that’s literally how a sandbox works if you play a certain way there has to be counter play. And right now I will say don’t nerf grenades but adding a trophy system seems appropriate.

@20Rated_X Grenades arent supposed to be weak and if someone wants to fill their whole backpack with them, then they can. The solution to everything isnt to nerf everything in the game just because some people dont like it. All that does is ruin everything and make gear pointless

@TheSaltyKing47 @Kilo_XII Right the equipment use isn’t the issue it’s the damage the said equipments are doing. Grenades shouldn’t be a fight opener as well as an ender. Also agree about the teaming it sucks when they do the discord thing but it is an option 🤷🏽♂️

@20Rated_X @staycationtg As long as people can pop a panacea kit and be back at full in 3 seconds, long range fights will never work. Half the reason the shotgun is meta is that rushing is the only way to lock damage in (via full team wipe)

The issue is the heal/res speed. If self revives took as long as unupgraded revives, you would have time to push. If healing to full after a revive took 20 seconds, you would have time to push

@cin_Aamon @loquor0315 @staycationtg People might call this crazy, but triage is literally the Lifeline of Apex. She’s only good because there’s no other options. I think if they release another healing character with efforts to make it different than his kit there’s a high chance it would easily be better.

@cin_Aamon @loquor0315 @staycationtg Triage is pretty mid imo other than him being able to revive instantly and that even has a cooldown because it’s an ult his drone doesn’t do much other than share heals. Healing from 1 hp to 100 is damn near the whole drone lol

@tabled_salt @staycationtg Poke fights are fine. You burn through their heals. The problem is when you get that knock. There’s no point in pushing because you still have two people who can defend while self reviving. Remove that now it’s a 1v3 while the other teammate chooses to res or not

@staycationtg Hard disagree. The primary issue is panacea kits and perks giving faster revive / heal speed. Remove these and the game flows much better
The problem is poke fights that can’t stick damage, and the reason is that healing to full from bag state can take <3 seconds

I’m all for like a defib.
But if you’re fully suggesting that people can’t be revived from bags at all unless they’re triage than I just can’t agree as that would ruin clutches and make this game lame as shit.
Idc if the timer is longer.
Idc if self revive is gone “unless you’re solo”.
But bag death without a Rez would be even more brutal for a crowd that’s already leaving because the game is harder than Arc happy happy fun land.

These are the theoretical TTKs for every weapon in Marathon.
Some interesting stand outs here I didn't expect, like the V11 Punch and BRRT SMG.
The first chart is sorted by TTK on a blue shield with body shots. The second chart is sorted by TTK on a Blue shield with 'precision' shots.
I'll post a link to the spreadsheet in the replies. Please don't "request access", I'm not gonna give it to you. Just save a copy of it if you want to make edits.
Some important caveats here:
-"0.01" indicates a single shot to down
-There are no blended numbers here, this is either all body shots or all head shots.
-This excludes any damage drop off cause of range
-The conquest LMG has a spool up period, these numbers are at max ROF
*if you see any errors let me know and I'll fix em best I can. I'm a little out of practice with excel.
