Three years ago today Vicky Phelan, co-founding member of 221+ and the driving force behind historic shifts in health care in Ireland, passed away. We are forever grateful for her courage and will continue to advocate for the dignity and health of women in Ireland.

The majority of cervical cancers are caused by the human papillomavirus. The good news is that it can largely be prevented by HPV vaccination in early puberty and attending HPV cervical screening when invited @HSEImm #cervicalcheck @NSShse @russellnoirin @WorldGOday
