@JacobL1994_ By my count, the claims of bombing water have never been correct so far. It's only been substations within bases as a consequence of vaporising the base.

@jewndahalfmen It's under discussed and I'm not entirely sure why, but Toronto was to Ulster Protestants what Boston was to Ulster Catholics. There's historically been a strong Scottish, Protestant, and unionist identity in Canada that no one wants to discuss anymore for some reason or other.

@DanitheSett Slander from @KarivGilad and others doesn't help. Kariv baselessly accused settlers of attacking Christians in Taibe... in a video he filmed in Ramun in which no violence occurred. In fact it is Muslims who have forced Taibe Christians off their private property. Just one example

I've been thinking about this a lot lately: What causes staunch supporters of Israel to rightfully expose lies against Israel, Jews, and the IDF, but accept every Palestinian claim against Jews in Judea and Samaria as the truth?

@JacobL1994_ The most important part of missiles is the speed at which they reach from Israel to their target. Importantly, before Trump tells us we are not allowed to defend ourselves because he's on a being delusional spree.

A missile corps is what a country builds when they’re completely outmatched in aviation capabilities. It wouldn’t make sense for Israel, who owns the regions skies and can operate essentially unrestricted from Tel Aviv to Tehran. That being said, air launched ballistic missiles are a thing, and are an extremely deadly part of IAFs arsenal. Those are what they used to decapitate the Houthi government, strike Doha (which penetrated both Qatari and US air defenses, by the way) and kill the Ayatollah.
Rafi DeMogge רפי דמוג@HeTows

I wrote this thread on the idea of a Missile Corps in Israel three months ago. The answers were largely negative, and I came away sort of persuaded. But I want to revisit the idea of maintaining a large missile arsenal, not as part of the conventional army that Israel would use in regular rounds, but as an extra layer of deterrence. Nuclear deterrence probably fails against a large missile arsenal. This is because no single large salvo is credibly construed as an existential threat, and there’s no sharp threshold such that more missiles than that would be so considered. This makes nuclear deterrence ineffective against a huge conventional missile arsenal. Moreover, a large and sustained enough saturation salvo has the potential to paralyze the air force. This poses a dilemma: a very large convention missile attack can disable the air force, making it difficult to stop or bring down to a strategically insignificant level (as it happened over the first few days of the war), but also resistant to nuclear deterrence. This is where a large conventional missile arsenal might help, and this arsenal could be specifically aimed at Kharg Island and Iran’s energy sector and civilian infrastructure. These are soft and big targets, so the lower accuracy of ballistic missiles is not an issue. A missile force could function as a medium-tier deterrent: more than just having a potent air force, but less than a nuclear deterrent. It is also as embargo-proof as it gets. It would send the massage: “don’t think you’re being smart when you’re planning an apocalyptic mass missile attack and calling it conventional, the response will also devastate your country, and that too will be conventional”. So perhaps Lieberman is on to something after all.

Ali Taher ridge is basically Hezbo Jima. Full of tunnel complexes, and exposed on multiple sides. Very difficult to attack. Lots of IEDs and presighted rocket artillery. It’s their command center in South Lebanon and they appear to be defending it tenaciously. Taking it will be a major victory, but a costly one. Some have asked “why not just collapse it with bunker busters?” I think the idea is to take the underground base intact and use it for IDF’s own purposes. It’s invulnerable to drones or even Iranian ballistic missiles. Once it gets a fresh blue and white paint coat, it will serve as the nexus for Israeli power projection in South Lebanon. The Hezbos know this, which is why they’re throwing everything they’ve got into keeping it.

@MarioLeb79 Is the fortress connected to Nabatieh? I don't see a point in continuing the attack if IRGC can bring in infinite reinforcements and the IDF only gets airstrikes when Trump is in a good mood...

The Hill is Exposed 360 Open Ground, No Buildings, Harsh Terrain. Even if 5 Tanks reach the Entrance They r exposed with no Cover Add to that the Small Shaft Tunnels Scattered throughout the Area. And rainin Barrage from Sejd and Al Rihane Its a Nightmare for any Force tryin to capture and Hold it IMO and i m not a Military Expert, The only Realistic way would be to completely clear Kfar Tebnit, Nabatieh Fawqa, and parts of east Nabatieh, which at this moment would be a Nightmare Operation on its own
 𝓂𝒶𝓇𝒾𝑜🇱🇧🇬🇧🇦🇪@MarioLeb79

1 thing I know: Even though that Hill is completely exposed with no Buildings, it is strategically well fortified Its location gives it a significant Defensive Advantage, and the IDF is advancin from the most exposed Approach Route. Takin it is not impossible, but it would likely come at a high cost and require Remarkable effeort

I've seen bad foreign policy presidents before. I've never seen a good foreign policy president throw away his entire legacy to appease a terrorist regime that tried to assassinate him multiple times. Seeing our president, especially Trump who has such a long list of foreign policy accomplishments, let Iran dictate the terms, tie the deal to Hezbollah, and get on his knees begging them to sign a deal is vomit inducing. And he has nothing to gain. It's incomprehensible. I'd love to blame Vance and Witkoff, but Trump is their boss, and he knows better. It's shameful. It's humiliating.

This is remarkable. One of the free Palestine student leaders from Columbia’s violent encampment is a 34 year old Palestinian man who has literally been enrolled as a college student since 2008. He transferred to Lehigh university in 2018. Stayed there “until 2021, and never earned a credential despite enrolling as a seventh year senior and being a full time student there for four years. Despite this extremely suspicious academic record, he was admitted as a transfer to Columbia University — a school which rejects over 97% of applicants — where he attended as an undergraduate for another four years.”
Daniel Friedman@DanFriedman81

Mohsen Mahdawi is 34 years old. He first enrolled at Birzeit University in the West Bank in 2008 and studied there for six years. In 2018 he enrolled as an undergraduate at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. He stayed there until 2021, and never earned a credential despite enrolling as a seventh year senior and being a full time student there for four years. Despite this extremely suspicious academic record, he was admitted as a transfer to Columbia University — a school which rejects over 97% of applicants — where he attended as an undergraduate for another four years. Columbia’s rules explicitly state that students must be progressing toward an on-time graduation, but they accepted Mahdawi as an eleventh year undergraduate and allowed him to remain a student in good standing even though he was evidently not maintaining a full course load. His student status was a pretext; he was acting as a full-time anti-American, anti-Jewish and pro-terrorism activist. Since he claims to be a Palestinian refugee, it is unclear who was paying his tuition or providing for his rent and expenses in New York City while he was engaged in subverting American institutions. He finally earned a bachelor’s degree in May 2025 from one of the top five American universities after 17 years as an undergraduate and was accepted to a master’s program at Columbia even though the State Department was already trying to deport him on national security grounds. Democrats at every level fought hard to keep him in the country.
