President Xi will likely visit the US later this year, which means expect a lot of meetings to negotiate a more detailed trade, national security and investment deals in the coming months. Western media will report this Trump as being fruitless with few deals signed. But the reality is, deals are never negotiated during a state visit, they are negotiated by subordinates before official meetings between leaders, the leaders themselves just approve and sign it. This state visit is very Trumpian, that is to set up a cordial person to person environment, the details are irrelevant. The real deal happens behind closed doors being hashed out by ministerial level officials. So the main point of this state visit was to introduce the new US cabinet to their Chinese counterparts, as most of them have not met with any Chinese officials at a high level before.

President Xi giving a tour of the exclusive backyard in Zhongnanhai (a side palace to emperors of old, now a residence of the leaders of China). As Xi have mentioned, he rarely take foreign visitors to this part of Chinese leader's living quarters.

Anas Altikriti, CEO and founder of The Cordoba Foundation, was denied entry into Canada and experienced a gruelling 30-hour ordeal. “We’ve been expecting you,” immigration officers said to him upon arrival to Canada, before subjecting him to eleven hours of “pointless” and “wasteful” questioning. “It is no longer about what I think or say. It is about who I am, or more precisely, who my adversaries have portrayed me as being, regardless of truth or fairness,” said Altikriti. “There is a serious conversation to be had about cancel culture and about what it means for societies that claim to uphold freedom, rights, and human dignity.”

🚨 FORMER BBC PRODUCER AVOIDS JAIL AFTER DOWNLOADING CHILD ABUSE AND CHILD RÀPE IMAGES ⚠️ DYLAN DAWES, 50 🌍 CARDIFF A former BBC producer has avoided prison after being convicted of downloading child abuse and child rape images. Dylan Dawes, 50, who began his career with the BBC in 2000, had over 6,000 indecent images of children on his devices when they were confiscated by police. Dawes refuted having a sexual interest in children and suggested that someone else might have used the devices, which were occasionally left overnight at the BBC's Cardiff HQ. In April, at Cardiff Crown Court, he was found guilty of three counts of possessing an indecent image of a child, and three counts of making an indecent image of a child, relating to more than 6,000 images discovered on his devices. On Thursday, at Newport Crown Court, Dawes received an 18-month prison sentence, suspended for two years. Judge Egan stated: "You have paid and you will continue to pay a heavy price for what you did. The public humiliation has been, and will continue to be, significant. The ball is now in your court to ensure that you stay out of trouble – I'm confident that you will." Judge Egan said Dawes had tried to point the finger at "anyone and everyone" who had access to the former BBC offices in Llandaff, casting doubt on many of his ex-colleagues. Dawes joined the BBC while residing in London in 2000 and began his role at BBC Wales after relocating to Cardiff in 2001, where he worked as a producer on radio shows and podcasts. The court was told that he was arrested in 2022 after police searched his Cardiff home, discovering indecent images on four devices, including a hard drive, laptop and two iPads. Dawes, who had worked alongside presenters such as Jason Mohammad and Rhod Gilbert, informed the court that he had "fairly regularly" viewed "adult pornography" but refuted any claims of downloading indecent images of children. The court was informed that he had "no idea" how the images were downloaded and denied using the search term "jailbait", suggesting that someone else might have accessed the devices. Harry Baker, prosecuting, stated that the images had been discovered on four of Dawes' devices and it was improbable that this was an "unhappy coincidence". Dawes, from Canton, Cardiff, was suspended from his role at the BBC following his arrest and is no longer employed by the broadcaster.

This is massive from 🇮🇷 Iran's FM Araghchi 🔥 🇮🇷 He said: "We are unbreakable after 40 days of war with the US. The imperial power is in decline and wants to turn back the clock. They have completely lost it. We have perfectly used the chance to discipline Trump 🇺🇸."🔥🔥 What a courage this man has. Trump will not sleep tonight listening to this 👏

Araghchi absolutely RIPS at the BRICS Foreign Ministers' meeting in New Delhi. A lesson to all BRICS and BRICS+ partners. Actually, a mini-manifesto: "To virtually everyone in this room, our resistance against US bullying is not an unfamiliar battle. So many of us encounter slight variations of the same repugnant coercion. It is high time for us to jointly step up and work towards making clear that those practices belong in the dustbin of history. Today, our nations are closer to one another than ever before, and we cannot ignore the common and dangerous challenge we all face. History has shown that empires in decline will stop at nothing to arrest their inevitable fates. A wounded animal will desperately claw and roar on its way down."
