Fusion360で作った3Dデータ（STLファイル）の外周だけ取ってきてらアミアミ構造（一層ごとに180度位相をずらした正弦波）のG-Codeデータを出力するアプリができてしまった。外周を関数で表現できなくても、STLファイルを用意できれば作れるのが特徴。生成AI恐るべし…。

@suaeccellenzan1 @josefprusa So you don't see how money can speed up innovation. Great then Bambu Lab can donate all the government money to cancer research and still stay light years ahead, right? But wait how did Snapmaker make a tool changer and Bambu has not? I thought they are light years ahead...

@2GregEl @josefprusa What I mean is that government money or not, Prusa is still behind on many things: the Bambu Lab mobile app is light years from the Prusa one, the AMS is just beautiful, many new features in Bambu Studio are being implemented by Prusa only recently (like the multiple plates), etc

Since it's Friday, I'd like to share some thoughts. Ideal for a weekend meditation or a (friendly) discussion. I just got back from my keynote in New York at Additive Manufacturing Strategies, and we need to talk about how we've taken our foot off the gas when it comes to Western innovation. It was something we used to take pride in. But for years, everyone got obsessed with a race to the bottom on price without looking at the actual cost. 🧵👇

@suaeccellenzan1 @josefprusa I have a P1S with AMS and the 3rd slot in the AMS was not working out of the box, I had to unplug it and I was going to order a replacement feeder, but after reassembly it did work. But this was not the point, with government money there wouldn't be only community MMU3 boxes😀

@2GregEl @josefprusa I have an A1 Mini with AMS Lite and never had any issue. It just works. The MMU3 solution at Prusa is messy, takes so much space and it just doesn’t work so easily and smoothly as the AMS.

@suaeccellenzan1 @josefprusa When you say flawlessly what do you mean? MMU3 also has tip forming, so a lot less purge waste. Not to mention the tool changer. There have been significant reliability improvements for the AMS 2 Pro. Bambu's initial execution was not as flawless as you say, so they improved it😉

@2GregEl @josefprusa I think it’s more an issue of vision and execution. A good example is Bambu Lab AMS. Prusa as of today still doesn’t have a multi color system that works flawlessly as the AMS.

@suaeccellenzan1 @josefprusa You are contradicting your own point. If you receive money you can develop products faster and be two steps ahead, because infrastructure and operating costs are covered, so you can spend more on R&D and product development. You forget that Bambu studio is based on PrusaSlicer.

@josefprusa I don’t think these points are fair. Bambu Lab is receiving money from the Chinese government, but they also sell better and more advanced printers. The synergy between hw and sw and the easiness of use is top with Bambu Lab. You guys are always two step behind so far.

@gonecozycrafts @Prusa3D @tommy_prusa3d Core One L. When I placed the order the lead time was 7-8 weeks and the 7th week started 2 days ago, so I was hoping to receive more up to date information. 6 weeks after the order I have the same information I had then (7 weeks lead time)...

Is there a way to get a better estimate for a @Prusa3D printer order? @tommy_prusa3d if I press on the "Up-to-date-shipping information" I get to the lead time for new orders. I am starting to worry that I will receive a shipment update while I am abroad for 2 weeks.

@dddpworld Snapmaker price is definitely not possible, but because of the build quality and full enclose of the Zaxe printers and the Z4 frame design, if they came out with a tool changer at the price and print volume of the Prusa XL it would still do quite well I think.

@2GregEl The tool changer has more tools but I think this machine is meant for a higher end market where a majority of users probably just want to print in two materials, not multiple colors. Snapmakers tool changer price point is probably not possible for them to be competitive with.

👀No way, Zaxe is making a IDEX!

@dddpworld This creates some weird X offset between the tools. Belt tension is pulling some plane out of squareness. XY joiner plane or the X rail to tool mount plate plane. I don't know, but you can get weird stuff happening for example this bed mesh 2/2

@dddpworld I am not familiar with the Markforged kinematics, but the RR VC4 has the Y axis as you said. I recently did the V4.1 upgrade on a 500mm and I think because of the length of the XY rails, while the gantry is true on the Y (each side) there is some type of twist on the X maybe. 1/2

Did you guys notice this? Zaxe's IDEX is actually a double core XY! Noice

@dddpworld Interesting, with MMU support as well. Maybe with one tool having the light colours and the other the darker ones, there will be a reduction in purge waste.

@UncleJessy4Real Can you break more the straight lines with surface texture like the stripes in the middle? (By editing the design) With cold ambient temperature and not enclosed, this is basically a warpinator test print.
