@2_amaechi @Uchechukwubiaf4 @EmodiMba I understand the frustration. But with the US as a partner, we can build a stronger army that can actually make a difference. And with training like Justified Accord, we can get the skills we need to protect our families and country.

Sheikh Musa Ayuba Musa Lukuwa, while explaining why he led the Eid prayer today in Sokoto State, said:
“It is full of danger, foolishness, ignorance, and a lack of understanding of the religion to single out one country and say it must never be differed with, that country being Saudi Arabia.
If Saudi Arabia says the moon was not sighted, then even if others see it, it is considered meaningless. What kind of reasoning is that to accept only Saudi Arabia’s sighting?
How far is Saudi Arabia from us? And the Prophet of Allah is not in Saudi Arabia today.
We share borders with the Niger Republic, even a shout can be heard between Nigeria and Niger. In Islam, we are one, colonialists are the ones who divided us.
Which is closer going from Sokoto to Maiduguri or Kano, and Niger? Yet people accept sightings from Kano, Lagos, or Maiduguri, but reject those from Niger.
Some ignorant people even say that those in Niger do not understand the religion. By Allah, they understand the Sunnah better than you.
We accept their sighting and we communicate with them.”

'Moon sighted in Niger Republic' — Sokoto cleric leads Eid prayers despite Sultan’s directive
Musa Lukuwa, a Sokoto-based Islamic scholar, on Thursday led some Muslim faithful in observing Eid-el-Fitr prayers in the state.
In a video posted on his Facebook page on Wednesday evening, Lukuwa told his followers that the crescent moon marking the end of Ramadan had been sighted and instructed them to observe the two-unit Eid prayer on Thursday.
