It’s quite a common shrub and maybe not very trendy but I love the flowering currants, Ribes sanguineum, in all their shades. This is a nice medium pink which contrasts perfectly with the fresh green leaves.

@silverpebble I stuck a stick all the way through so it makes a perch for birds who find it difficult hanging on. It works a treat for Robins and donuts (dunnocks) 😃

The male dunnock who lives in my snowberry is learning how to use my bird feeders. During early attempts the other day he fell off several times.👎🏼 Just now he balanced perfectly & was enjoying a snack when bullyboy robin chased him off. Rooting so hard for my dunnock right now

I went to 2 fantastic places today in Farnham. Firstly, ‘Bourne Mill Antiques’. Over 20 rooms of brilliant stuff. Secondly ‘Bourne Buildings Ltd’. Every shed imaginable for your garden and loads of great stone statues. Trust me, Whoever you are you will love both. Report back.

@silverpebble I started running 2 years ago so my mind had a reason to think why my body hurt so much the next morning.

Fair warning: perimenopausal content. Those in this zone, do you have fatigue so bad your bones feel as though they’re heavier than lead & it’s so hard to move sometimes the air feels like treacle? Unfollow if you wish but this stuff really isn’t talked about enough.
