Chelsea’s goalkeeping plans have undergone a significant rethink following Xabi Alonso’s impending arrival at Stamford Bridge, with @TEAMtalk understanding that Mike Penders is no longer on course to become the club’s number one next season. teamtalk.com/chelsea/xabi-a…

Endrick - 2025/26

McFarlane is liked and respected by the players so no real issue that he stays on. He will help Alonso with information on behind scenes issues as he has been there to see it first hand. As a coach he has had two very close games with Liverpool and City. Also seen as a bridge for the younger players. Not sure why people are complaining.

Is all these crash out because of an experience youth coach like Calum McFarlane or because they didn’t include your ‘Super’ John Terry as one of the back room staff? 😅

unless there’s an outright statement about targets (top 3, PL title contention) & more so wage structure (top 3 PL wage should be reflected on the pitch by payer quality) instead of bullshit about style of play? there’s zero reason to believe next season will be any different

🚨 The initial idea, according to one insider, is to be seriously challenging for the Premier League title within three seasons if not sooner. (@kierangill_DM) #CFC

🚨 This bruising season has already convinced Chelsea to deviate somewhat away from their youth-focused transfer strategy this summer. They will hire some experienced heads with leadership qualities. They accepted, after Liam Rosenior, that a change of profile was needed in the dugout, too. (@MrDomSmith) #CFC
