NFL 2K5's weekly wrap-up is still unmatched. It's nice to see it being finally implemented in Madden, but it is so bare bones and underwhelming. I expect it to be better than something from 21 years ago.

@softdrinktv @MaxonUnlimited @EA @EAMaddenNFL Notice how the team records are 0-0, they should only do broadcast angles at real speed, the zoom in angles and slow downs ruin the experience more than help, seems like the menu lags and stutters in clip as well.

A LOOK AT THE WEEKLY RECAP IN MADDEN 26 🏈
Okay this is what this years recap is looking like, not sure if there will be updates/patches but it still feels minimal especially in comparison to Madden 10’s ‘The Extra Point’.
Unfortunately Scott Hanson doesn’t make an appearance and personally speaking ‘The Extra Point’ did a better job of discussing stats, standings and breaking down the game overall. It felt like an actual weekly recap show. This seems like this just could’ve been used as a halftime show with how sparse it is. The highlights are a cool addition but personally I was expecting more with because EA did take the right steps with team introductions this…

These are better examples of inconsistent momentum because animations have too much control.
Just watch the crazy jitter and warping of the star icon underneath the ball carrier in that first video compared to our orange circle video! Shows exactly the core issue.

I think it’s actually impressive how smooth they’ve been able to make it look in most instances given that underlying structure.

@CatholicPacman @MarcoReuyce I love PS2 Madden as well but I have to disagree. Player model design is more personal preference though with those older games so your take is valid. I personally think tap to sprint makes more sense but I know that's likely a hot take (I'm so glad @LEGENDBOWLGAME used tap)

Unlike in ESPN NFL 2K5, individual players in EA’s football games lack the ability to make dynamic choices throughout a play or recognize patterns. They follow a script. This hurts replayability and it’s why this game feels repetitive to longtime Madden players. (2/2)

On July 16, 2007, All Pro Football 2K8 was released, It was Visual Concepts first and only release on next gen at the time. Would of loved to see this game engine get fully developed out over the PS3/360 Era. Sadly, we are only left with our imagination.

When the tackle doesn't secure the reach block and the defender has the edge.

You could never trust your eyes in an EA football game. It looks like the OT is going to do a reach block but then just stops animating and the defender goes free. I would be ok if the defender fought through the block and made the play instead of it playing out like this.

Predetermined outcomes. In 25 the end stays reached but fights the block. In 26 the end just magically gets separation and glides into position to stop the angle of my run. They need a patch, asap
