My parents have always been a well done type of couple growing up
Finally got them to upgrade to medium-well awhile ago (baby steps) lol
Anyways, I had always grown up ordering well done steak because that’s all I’ve ever known
Go to my best friend’s house one night and his dad is cooking up steaks for us
He’s a big guy and if you saw him back then, you can tell he was a man who knows how to cook some good food
He asks how I’d like my steak done
I say “well done” because again, that’s all I’ve ever known lol
He just stares at me for like ten seconds and then finally says “absolutely fucking not, not in my house - you’ll have it medium tonight”
Here I am, a scrawny 14 year old, like wtf am I gonna say or do here
It’s a free steak and his house so I can’t say anything but deep down I thought I was about to be eating “blood” for the first time and kinda nervous
Ends up being one of the best steaks of my life and finally got to taste what a real steak should taste like
Came home that night and told my parents I’ll never eat well done again and they robbed me of my childhood (joking)
And from that day on, I always get it medium or medium rare
Forever grateful for that night haha

@VB3RG @schober222 It’s literally not because your not eating it. The dopamine from the steak is the same for them as rare is to you because that’s what they want. Therefore the steak is being cooked properly🤷♂️

My Google Fitbit Air Arrived Early!
Instantly took off my Oura Ring. Only used Oura for steps and sleep but had to take it off when working out so didn’t do what I wanted.
LOVE the size and fit of the Air. It’s TINY. Barely feels like anything’s on and blends in with my arm and becomes barely noticeable.
The ONE thing I’m interested in is, will it work being worn over my tattoos. That’s where Apple Watch lost me. So far so good so we will have to see.

Beltran calls time out. Schilling demands the fight be stopped. Beltran takes a point. Resets the fight, Schilling asks that the fight be reset with him on bottom, then says he won’t continue when he was unhappy with a lack of rubber guards being established when he was on bottom.
At least that’s how I interpreted it

Subnautica 2 devs say "go play Sons of the Forest" if you don't like its lack of violence. The game focuses on underwater exploration, and you cannot kill most creatures. On the official Discord, one player asked why killing is impossible in SN2 as it makes no sense. Level designer Artyom O’Rielly replied, “This is not a killing game, so go play Sons of the Forest if you want to kill.” Another developer said, “The team discusses this a lot inside the studio and may let players catch small fish for food, but large creatures will stay safe so the game feels right.” This idea comes from the first Subnautica, as the team wants players to discover things, feel wonder, and live with ocean life instead of fighting it. A fan-made mod already lets players kill creatures, and the studio is reading all feedback. It plans to add better ways to scare off creatures but will not add weapons. Early access is expected to last up to 3 years.
