Marathon’s biggest problem is that extracting is rarely ever exciting. In Arc Raiders, every extract point was guarded by a major enemy (Rocketeer, Leaper, etc). You never ever felt safe until you made it out.
Especially when the game was new, every extract was hype. Most marathon extracts are just waltzing up to the thing, calling it, and then leaving.

It has been a few days since the Self Revive nerf happened.
- Self Revive when the Revive Speed stat is at 0: went from 12s → 16s
- Self Revive when the Revive Speed stat is at 100: went from 7s → 12s
How are we all feeling about it? Ngl I feel they overdid it. Hopefully they can reel it back a bit.

My two cents: NuCal final capstone blocking the ability to buy purple shields feels horrible, especially when you need MORE HAZARD CAPSULES (14) than Enzyme Replicators (11) !
even though I think gold salvage requirements should be toned down across the board, NuCal feels particularly bad. Either purple shield should just be a VIP rank upgrade , or there should be less needed to max it out

@MarathonDevTeam Can we please lower the DBNO health? It's ridiculous that I have to spend almost a full magazine to finish a DBNO player.
I'm sure this self rez change will make things feel better, but I feel like the real problem is the challenge to finish the kills in the first place.

We’ve seen a lot of feedback that players’ ability to quickly revive after being downed during a fight is causing frustrations. When taking a look we felt that both the total time and contribution of the Revive Speed were too fast for the pace of tactical play we expect from Marathon.
In Update 1.0.9, we’re increasing the time it takes for a DBNO runner to self-revive with a Self-Revive kit and rebalancing how much benefit the Revive Speed stat grants you:
➡️ When the Revive Speed stat is at 0: 12s → 16s
➡️ When the Revive Speed stat is at 100: 7s → 12s

The update to Ranked lobbies hybridizing Dropship and Drop Zones is now live. Here are all the details you need to know:
🛠️ADJUSTED
-All matches with 10+ Diamond players OR 1+ Master/Predator player will have Drop Zones
-Players may experience a mixture of Dropship and Drop Zone matches, particularly for Platinum players or those squadding up with Diamond+ players, as we work out the thresholds
-If your pending lobby will have Drop Zones you will see “RANKED - DROP ZONES” displayed on the match loading screen
-When loading into a Drop Zones match, the Rank Tier Display will show each player's individual Rank Tier (Dropship matches will keep the current 'Squad' version of the Rank Tier Distribution)
-Players in Masters will need to go back to the lobby and matchmake in order to requeue. We are working on a fix that will allow players to requeue as normal and will let you know when it is live
This change is now live, and we will be closely monitoring the impact on competitive integrity and matchmaking health.
