#BREAKING A “very evil” Sydney electrician raped a 75-year-old in her own home after blaming his wife for not having sex with him, then called his wife to give evidence in his defence. Amol Vijay Dhumal, 45, was found guilty by jury verdict of sexual intercourse without consent after attacking the elderly woman in her Mount Colah home. Dhumal was sent to the woman’s home to install solar panels. Dhumal said she reminded him of his mother, and grabbed her in a bear hug, trying to kiss her. Dhumal said his wife never had sex with him, and grabbed the 75-year-old again, trying to drag her into the bedroom. “You’ve got to be kidding me” the woman screamed. Dhumal then raped the woman in her lounge room, injuring her. The woman was too disturbed to attend court as Dhumal was sentenced last week. Dhumal was sentenced to five years in prison. Diversity is our strength.

Oregon mails out a ballot to every registered voters.
Oregon was just ordered to remove 800,000 voters from their registration list who are either no longer alive, or no longer live in Oregon.
So 800,000 ballots have been released "into the wild" each election cycle by having been mailed to people who don't vote.
What is the safeguard against those ballots being fraudulently cast?

I’m learning very quickly that many people believe the standard for success is perfection.
The military lost a highly classified helicopter on the bin Laden raid because the mock up compound they trained on used a chain link fence as the perimeter instead of the solid wall that was actually there….mission failure?
There’s dumb mistakes in every kinetic operation, doesn’t mean the mission is a failure.
Collectively, this group of LEOs went from identifying the suspect as a threat to detaining him within ~15 seconds and within feet of the outer perimeter.
If that’s failure, what does success look like?
Robotic reaction times and emotionless marksmanship?
This whole things reminds me of that investigation committee that dragged Sully Sullenberger as incompetent because a computer simulation told them he could have made it back to an airport instead of landing in the Hudson.

This officer identifies the threat within *2 seconds* Officer is drawing the pistol before the suspect even reaches the perimeter. Pistol is lined up on the suspect as they hit the perimeter. Within *9 seconds* the threat has already been communicated and we see other agents swarming in from other rooms. After roughly 15 seconds, the suspect appears to be detained. This was not a security failure at the WHCD. The system worked as intended and probably even a little bit better than you'd expect.
