There was a popular guy in Wandegeya behind the kiosks opposite MAK small gate called Shaba. When you went there but he didn’t know you, he never opened his door. Guess what he sold?

I think banning school trips because of 2 accidents is too extreme. Remember we have 88,000 schools in Uganda according to the census. With atleast half of those schools doing a school trip atleast once every year. 2 out of 44,000 are pretty good odds. By this math, the probability of a school bus getting an accident on its way to a school trip is 0.0045%. What we are facing now is a principle of psychology called recency bias. This is the same reason why people fear flights because they think they will crash, but guess what, only 51 crashes happened last year out of 38.7 Million flights that landed safely. So the probability of your plane crashing is 0.00013%

The ministry of education needs to suspend school trips with immediate effect. Establish measures that will guarantee children safety. How many more children must die before action is taken?

I bumped into my old friend @ChrisObore1 while visiting Salongo @EriasLukwago at Murchison Bay Prison. Obore is visibly disturbed by his new public image. In utter disbelief, he said he can’t believe that we now think he is a national thief, he repeated the phrase "national thief" three times!

@ubctvuganda Balaam is just excited. He needs to know that the school drop out rate is very high and number of enrolled learners change everyday. I blame the appointing authority.

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐒𝐌? Yesterday, I shared the progress of soluble coffee at Inspire Africa Group, and the majority of the comments wished that Nestlé would sue IAG over the bottle design. That won't be happening. The bottles are registered with the relevant authorities. What is shocking, however, is that people who are supposed to be our elite, with more grasp of economics, are praying for the project to fail. Why fight development? In Ntungamo, under the various value chains—production, civil works, tourism, the fertilizer plant, farms, etc.—the project is employing around 1,000 people from all over Uganda. In fact, the languages used are English and Luganda. The downstream activities in Kampala and beyond are promising 1,000-plus more jobs. Already, around 100 people have been given offers as sales managers, operations managers, merchandisers, cashiers, and baristas. They will be working in supermarkets and on the mobile coffee carts (frame 2). These are Ugandans. By the way, the products are already in Made in Uganda supermarket at UMA Lugogo and Inspire Cafe at Twed Towers. Why would you fight a great project because you don't like the government, its location, or its managers? That is myopic. Uganda isn't the first country to support the private sector. In Japan, the government has been supporting the companies that make the cars you love to drive—Toyota, Honda, etc. In Germany, the government has been supporting BMW, Mercedes, etc. Your smartphone shouldn't be for decoration; use it to gain more knowledge.
