@2sloth @Marsmite Equal Earth is an equal area projection with countries and continents shown at their true sizes relative to each other. Natural Earth is a compromise projection. Shapes are better but sizes are slightly unequal.

🚢🔊 Just how much shipping noise are harbour porpoises exposed to? 🚨 In a new paper, SATURN researcher Caitlin Frankish et al. found that porpoises were exposed to ship noise above ambient 1/3 of the time, and that ships as far away as 2km caused animals to react!
