Our new paper is out in Nature! We discovered that the neuroendocrine peptide Capa acts as a calcium-mobilizing hormone in the fruit flies, showing that even boneless insects have a vertebrate PTH-like endocrine system for calcium homeostasis. nature.com/articles/s4158…

高タンパク質食により分泌される腸ホルモンがタンパク質に対する食欲を制御することを報告しました。このシステムの破綻により、高タンパク質食を過剰に摂取し、（おそらく）尿素サイクルなどの窒素代謝経路の飽和、有害なアンモニアの蓄積が起こることが分かりました。 nature.com/articles/s4146…
