this is how everything started #1: the grind mentality hit me after graduating from high school. before high school, i was a brilliant child, ranking in the top 2.5% of the country on exams. but in high school, my perspective totally changed. i started wasting my days doing nothing—hanging out in coffee shops, gaming with friends, and barely attending classes unless i absolutely had to. then, in my last year before the university entrance exam, i finally started studying, but it was too late. life hit me hard because i wasn’t successful anymore. in my first year, i had to take a prep course to learn english. i passed the exams halfway through the semester, which gave me six months of free time. i decided i should spend that time studying english in the UK, so i flew there. for six months, my only focus was learning english. during that time, youtube was blowing up, so i decided to start making vlogs with a “foreign student in the UK” theme, although i never uploaded them to youtube. after returning from the UK, my only concern was making money. i wanted to do it in a creative way, so i tried to learn coding, but i never focused enough. then i tried to find something to sell. i saw an app in australia where people were advertising on coffee cups, and coffee shops were serving drinks in those cups. the coffee shops saved money, and people placed ads. it sounded logical to me, so i tried the same thing. i talked with 10-15 coffee shops, and they said yes. i found a couple of gyms and language schools to place ads, they agreed, and i made my first money. but i never continued doing it because when i do something, i always want something more and different. at that time, i was sitting in a really popular coffee shop near my university with my friends. i don’t even remember how, but i ended up on some blog and read something about bitcoin. i thought, this is the moment of my life. what a fucking tech, i said to myself. it was around $2.5k if i’m not mistaken. i found some money and bought on @Poloniex. after that day, my life changed. i didn’t get rich quickly, but everything in this world was so fucking new to me. i stopped going to school and spent my whole time in front of the fucking computer all day long. i didn’t have big capital, but i was enjoying my time, until i suddenly met “leverage trading.” at that time, $XRP was ripping without any reason, and all i did was long $XRP before i slept. i was constantly and luckily making money and turned $100 into $5k in a couple of weeks. i wanted to buy a car, but i also didn’t want to spend all my money. life was amazing; i was a student, i had money, i had a “job,” and i started feeling fucking successful.
