For Veterans Day, I thought I'd post my grandfather's mission diary from WW2. He was a radio operator and waist-gunner in B-24s out of Cerignola, Italy from 9/44 to 3/45.

@Tinypuffpuff2 @Channel5iveNews @ogafroman I already answered the question. Today they are Arabized and a mix of Mediterranean, North African and Arab. The Moors/Amazigh are from North Africa also and essentially light skinned, calling them black is an inversion of reality.

@ShieldsClips @Channel5iveNews @ogafroman Your projection is wild, and it shows considering you want to divert the topic to The Moors. We’re talking about the Egyptians who built the Pyramids, do try to keep up lil’ guy, I know it’s hard for you. 🤣

@303Scott @philipammar @BestMovieMom Well I mean, the reactor exploded (like a bomb) and contained nuclear energy (nuclear) so… it’s a nuclear bomb. How is that an issue? And do you deny that it’s dangerous to be around patients who are covered in radioactive dust etc? You sound like you’re downplaying everything

The creators of Chernobyl (2019) made a bold choice on accents. They forbade the cast from using fake Russian voices, believing that actors focusing on performing silly accents would distract the audience from the raw emotion of the tragedy.

@philipammar @DanWats23 @BestMovieMom The whole story was bullshit.... the claim that the reactor would blow like a nuclear bomb (absurd).... the incredible melting man in the burn ward who allegedly emitted radiation (preposterous).... the bridge of death (ridiculous). That's just a few.

@DanWats23 @303Scott @BestMovieMom Agreed. I'm about as pronuclear as one can get, and thought Chernobyl was great. Anybody watching it saw that the problem with the meltdown was inherently due to the implementation, and not the technology itself.

@303Scott @BestMovieMom I’m very pro-nuclear energy and I still think it’s an amazing series. There’s nothing wrong with showing how nuclear energy can go wrong and when it did. It’s an amazing technology, but it shouldn’t be put in the hands of idiots. Which I think the show presented well

It’s wild to think that The Runaways' lead singer, Cherie Currie, was just 16 years old when the 'Cherry Bomb' video dropped in 1976. She was a teenager with the stage presence of a rock legend! 🍒💣🔥

We've Wildly Misunderstood the Great Pyramid - Geoffrey Drumm (@TheLandOfChem), DemystifySci #411 Geoffrey Drumm of @TheLandofChem returns! This time, we're digging into the full mechanism of his proposed theory for the function of the Great Pyramid. Drumm argues that the physical properties of the Great Pyramid - its limestone blocks, its red granite chambers, are evidence of an advanced, technological society that was harnessing the power of lightning strikes on the Giza Plateau to produce industrial chemicals like hydrochloric acid. Drumm walks us through his model, step-by-step, from the electrical properties of the rocks in the pyramid, the purpose of each chamber inside the massive monolith, the source of the reactants used in the process, and how water, reactants, and products moved through the structure. Along the way, we connect architectural features of the pyramid to known principles of fluid dynamics, chemical catalysis, and sonochemistry. The result is a radical new frame for thinking about the ancient world and the purpose of these massive monuments. 00:00 Go! This has been addressed many times before, here me out: The true size was certainly lost in translation, and moreover, the ‘described size’ is arguably far too small. 1) Atlantis is a ~12,000yr old story, passed down by probably at least a dozen languages before it even got to Plato. Measurements would easily be lost over a 11 millennia, and likely long before it ever got to Sonchis of Sais in Egypt. 2) The ‘described size’ given by Plato would consist largely of water (not inhabitable for homes/buildings) - Yet, Atlantis was described as being “busy all day and all night, with languages spoken from all over” - that’s a city consisting of millions of people. Ain’t no way the significantly smaller described size would fit that many people, not even close. 3) The Richat Structure is virtually the same exact size of modern day Paris and Cairo’s metropolitan areas. 4) Plato stated he would have to “endeavor to describe the nature and arrangement of the rest of the land” - essentially acknowledging that he did not have all the correct details, or failed to successfully decipher Solon’s passed down words. 5) The Richat Structure matches a dozen and a half of the most striking and consequential similarities to what Plato described, and this far outweighs the arguments against it. The Eye of the Sahara is by far the most likely location for the lost capital city of Atlantis 🌀🌍🔱

@TheCinesthetic Episode 4 is where Sagan resurrected the "greenhouse effect" hypothesis. This marked the beginning of the anti-CO2 global warming movement that has cost the global economy $ trillions. Sagan was little more than a Marxist propagandist.

Gold and Silver Prices Smashed into US market opening. NOW we will see if this washout ends after the initial sell-off at the US equity market open move or if this turns into a historic sell-off day. This looks more like a bargain buying smash move to me. There is no good reason for this degree of selling since instability, risks are in Gold's (and to a large degree.. Silver's) favor. Rising and uncertainty does not translate into this kind of reaction in gold. This is not exactly natural. I don't buy it.

@OMApproach This is similar to the electric universe theory where precession isn't the Earth "wobbling", but the solar system traveling on a Birkeland current through space. Interesting info here: youtube.com/watch?v=kLfoy5…

This means that changes in Earth's magnetic field, like when it weakens or flips direction, might be caused by twisting forces (called magnetic torques). These forces happen between magnetic "tubes" connected to Earth's magnetic field and similar tubes linked to cosmic strings in space. These interactions could be what triggers the shifts in Earth's magnetic field. These tubes could also help "recharge" a weakening magnetic field. (2/5)🧵

This is an eye-opening and rude awakening study! In a new study published on 25 November 2024, Finnish scientists with Ph.D.s in Theoretical Physics at the University of Helsinki, Finland, propose a link between the periods of geomagnetic excursions and the period of equinox precession (~25,800 years). The study suggests that "cosmic strings" (like super-thin, super-powerful tubes in space) might carry magnetic forces and connect faraway objects in the universe, like the Sun and the star Vega. These connections could affect how Earth's axis wobbles over time (called precession), which is the slow, circular movement of the direction Earth’s axis points. (1/5)🧵

Pay attention to what is happening with the world, the climate change and why the 'elites' are building doomsday bunkers! This video is from NOAA and it shows the drift of the North Magnetic Pole. Around the year 1840 the shift stops in one region and it looks like it reached a tipping point after which it changed direction. From 1840 to today the Earth's magnetic field and the dipole have weakened by about 10%, while before 1840 it took around 925 years for the same 10% weakening. Now pay attention what happens next! Rabbit Hole Thread! (1/8)🧵

@LawrenceLepard @adamtaggart This rally is 100% fundamental, not technical. A correction may happen at some point, but if your investment timeline is more than two years, IMO you are better off holding than trying to trade it.

Lawrence Lepard, "fix the money, fix the world"
They are making the mistake of comparing it to prior bull markets. Those were driven by problems that could be solved. This is less solvable. The miners are still undervalued when compared to the metal. Especially silver. My read is we are in the second or third inning. Gold is going to $10,000 and silver to $250. Up until now the challenge (last 10 years) has been being patient. Now the challenge is not selling too early. My Quarterly Report just released discusses this. The macro is different this time. Long and strong. They have wall of worry thinking. How can it be a bubble when 2% of the investing public owns this stuff?

I’m at the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference Rick Rule & other grizzled mining industry veterans see the precious metals in a bubble now, and that we’re in later innings They advise it’s time to start taking profits. Don’t sell all necessarily, as the last inning or two could go bonkers price-wise But bubbles in this space in the past have ended with violent downwards price corrections. They advise: don’t blindly put yourself at risk of having your recent great gains vaporize.
