Send those flags back to China. If we’re serious about reparations, let’s be clear: it has to come from the federal level—not from local scams and misappropriated funds disguised as progress. The $500,000 that was stolen last year and the $4 million you’re trying to funnel this year both need to be investigated immediately. President Trump, we need a full forensic audit of any so-called “reparations” funding happening in the City of Chicago, the State of Illinois, and Cook County. Meanwhile, I can’t even get this current administration (@ChicagosMayor @GovPritzker @ToniPreckwinkle )—or the silent, do-nothing Black leaders in Illinois—to resolve my case. That case represented my family’s generational wealth. These people aren’t leaders. They’re thieves. I’m utterly disgusted that we keep playing games. Brandon invested 500k into a reparations task force to “STUDY” reparations. This is the biggest slap in the face on Juneteenth. He wants to play with symbolism to win black votes after he gave the migrants a billion dollars+.

Wow. Governor's Office scheduled budget calls with @ChicagosMayor's office only to have them not show up. Less than 5 calls between them in 2 years. Astounding levels of incompetence from the 5th floor on full display. Collaborating requires active engagement.

JB Pritzker blasts Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson for his failure to communicate with Pritzker’s office. “They don’t reach out very often and it seems like they don’t have good relationships in Springfield, in part because they don’t do the outreach that’s necessary…” “He’s called me perhaps five times [in] two years…the last call we got from them was in September. And then once in December. We, by the way, scheduled calls and then they didn’t show up.” Mayor Johnson has repeatedly claimed that he is working closely with the Pritzker administration to secure more tax revenue for Chicago Public Schools, among other things.
