@paul_furber There’s also the question of the status of James, I.e., the indications that it was James who had primacy after the death of Christ.

>The Petros/Petra argument doesn't fail because Catholics say so. It fails because it depends on a Greek grammatical artifact while ignoring the Aramaic foundation underneath it. I think BOTH arguments fail for an entirely different reason. When Jesus said "and I tell you, you are Petros, and on this petra I will build my church", I think he was actually pointing at Mt. Hermon when he said petra. The text tells us they were in Caesarea Phillipi which is at the foot of Mt. Hermon, the headquarters as it were of the evil supernatural northern region in Hebrew thought. 1 Enoch says Mt. Hermon was the site where the watchers descended as spoken of in Genesis 6, and Joshua 12 speaks of Og, king of Bashan ruling over Mt Hermon. Jesus is going on the attack - he's going to build a church on top of this evil site and its gates will not prevail. The joke's on them though: his real attack will be his sacrifice for sin. Coincidentally enough, there is a United Nations base on top of Mount Hermon. Yeah.
Hughes de Payens 🇻🇦✝️📿@hdpayens

The Protestant Petros/Petra argument only works if you forget Jesus spoke Aramaic. Here's what the grammar actually shows. When Jesus renamed Simon in John 1:42, he called him "Cephas." That's not a Greek word. It's the Greek transliteration of the Aramaic "Kepha," meaning rock or stone. No masculine ending. No feminine ending. Just one word, one meaning, one man. The Petros/Petra split exists only because Greek has grammatical gender. You cannot call a grown man "Petra" in Greek without it sounding absurd. So the translator used "Petros" as the name and "petra" as the substance. That's a grammatical necessity, not a theological signal. In the Aramaic Jesus actually spoke, there was no split to exploit. Paul confirms this independently. In Galatians 1 and 2, and again in 1 Corinthians 15, he calls Peter "Cephas" without any reference to Matthew's Gospel. The Aramaic rock-name was already Peter's recognized title across the earliest churches before Matthew was written down. That's not a Roman invention. That's the apostolic record. The Petros/Petra argument doesn't fail because Catholics say so. It fails because it depends on a Greek grammatical artifact while ignoring the Aramaic foundation underneath it. Read the text in the language Jesus spoke. The distinction collapses. What other Greek-based objections to Peter's primacy do you want addressed?

This Wall Street insider just exposed the secret doomsday escape plans of AI billionaires. 1 in 3 billionaires has a fully funded plan to abandon civilization when things collapse. They meet their pilots at Oakland airport, board a Gulfstream 650, fly to New Zealand, and disappear into a bunker that cost tens of millions to build. And this isn't some conspiracy theory. There's literally PROOF: Sam Altman told The New Yorker he stockpiles guns, gold, potassium iodide, antibiotics, batteries, water, and gas masks from the Israeli Defense Force. He owns a patch of land in Big Sur he can fly to when society breaks down. His backup plan is flying with Peter Thiel to Thiel's compound in New Zealand. Peter Thiel became a New Zealand citizen in 2011 after spending only 12 days in the country. He bought a 477-acre estate for $13.5 million and submitted plans for a bunker-style compound embedded into a hillside with a 1,082-foot glass-lined guest lodge for 24 people. Mark Zuckerberg is building a 5,000 square foot underground shelter beneath his $270 million compound in Hawaii. Blast-resistant doors made of metal and concrete, its own energy and food supplies, and an escape hatch accessible by ladder. Every construction worker signed an NDA and different crews were forbidden from speaking to each other. Larry Page, co-founder of Google, quietly disappeared to Fiji during the pandemic. He reportedly bought at least one private island in the Mamanuca archipelago. When local media reported his presence, Fijian authorities ordered the article taken down. Scott Galloway sat with one of these billionaires who walked him through his entire exit strategy step by step. His response: "You don't think your pilots are going to kill you and fuck your wife? You don't think the people in New Zealand are going to come take the rich guy's shit?" But here's the thing that really matters... These are the SAME people building AI. The same founders telling Congress that AI will cure cancer have already decided they're leaving when it goes sideways. Galloway confirmed a secondhand account from someone close to one of these AI CEOs. The CEO admitted he believes there's a 7 to 10% chance AI results in a catastrophic event for humanity. And he doesn't care because being the person who summoned this intelligence is "more consequential than whatever happens." These billionaires don't use public healthcare. They have concierge medicine delivered to their living room. Their kids attend $75,000 per year academies while public schools spend $10,000. They fly private. They have private security instead of police. Galloway's words: "The 0.1% are no longer invested in the well-being of America. They've totally dissociated because they're sequestered from it." And the incentives to reach that level are so extreme that founders will make ANY decision necessary to get there. Galloway called it the Darth Vader pipeline. Every tech CEO follows the same arc: Sam Altman was "the gay son we all wanted." Soft spoken, testifying before Congress about safety. Now he's subpoenaing nonprofits that criticize OpenAI and telling people to stop complaining about energy costs. Galloway on all of them: "These guys would sleep with their cousin for a nickel." The next chosen hero is Dario Amodei at Anthropic. Galloway says he'll follow the exact same path because the system makes it inevitable. Then he dropped his most dangerous prediction: He thinks there's a 1 in 3 chance AI ends up like jet transportation, vaccines, or PCs. Technologies that changed civilization but where NO group of companies ever captured serious shareholder value. The entire airline industry across all of history is at break even. Moderna is down 90%. AI models are converging. Open weight Chinese models are free and a third of corporations are already using them. His prediction: Go short the AI ecosystem. The winner of AI might be us, the users. Not the companies. And if he's right, the domino effect is terrifying... 40% of the S&P is tied to AI. Most GDP growth over the last two years came from AI capex. So if corporations start dropping OpenAI and Anthropic for free Chinese models, the entire market could crash. This is just like the Chinese steel dumping in the 80s: Flood America with cheap AI, kneecap the companies propping up the stock market, then trigger a recession without firing a single shot. The billionaires building AI have escape plans ready. They've detached from society entirely. They know there's a real chance this ends badly and they're building it anyway. Every tech hero turns villain on a shorter timeline. And the financial system is so dependent on AI valuations that one move from China could bring it all down. And we're still trusting these people to self-regulate. What do you think?

Sam Altman admits he wants to build a world where OpenAI transitions into an “infrastructure provider,” a “mega-scale token factory.” In this model, it decides what information people see, how decisions are made, and which businesses are allowed to succeed or fail. Altman says intelligence will become a utility like electricity or water, with people forced to buy it from them on a metered basis. "I think that could be quite powerful."

DEMOCRACY IS MOB RULE- exactly what Blue states want. We have a Republic, as long as we can hold onto it….
Wall Street Apes@WallStreetApes

EXCELLENT breakdown of what Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger and 18 other Democrat Governors, including DC, have signed to permanently change how we elected the President of the United States “Virginia's governor just signed a law that makes your vote for President irrelevant — On April 13th, governor Spanberger quietly signed HB 965, a bill that joins Virginia to something called the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. Here's what that actually means. If Virginia votes one way for president, but the rest of the country goes the other direction, Virginia's electoral votes go with the country, not with who you voted for. Now, the framing they're selling is every vote matters equally, which sounds great, but here's what they're not telling you. The Electoral college wasn't broken. It was designed specifically to make sure that rural states, small states and communities outside of major cities still had a voice in who becomes president. Under this compact presidential campaigns would have zero reason to care about Virginia outside of Richmond and Northern Virginia. I mean, why would they? You just hand your votes to wherever New York and California go? Some legal scholars have argued, the framers of the Constitution explicitly rejected the idea of popular elections for President, and that changing the system requires a constitutional amendment, not a state level workaround. And here's the part that should bother everyone regardless of party. As of March, 2026, every single governor who has signed this compact into law has been a Democrat, not one Republican. This wasn't bipartisan reform. This was a party using a legislative shortcut to restructure how presidents get elected without touching the constitution. We are a republic, not a pure democracy. That distinction matters because pure democracies let 51% of the country permanently ignore the other 49%. Virginia just took a step toward erasing its own voice in national elections, and they did it while nobody was watching.”

During the first months of the 1821 Greek Revolution, dozens of Greek civilians, men and women, were impaled in Constantinople as part of the general massacre carried out in retaliation. The German Johann W.A. Streit, who was working in Constantinople at the time, describes the massacre and the impalements in detail in a book he wrote in 1822: "Meanwhile, other Turks were fixing many iron spits into the ground.. There were about eighty spits. They stripped the Greeks, around 65 of them, young, old, women, and surrounded them with drawn swords, in front of the spits.. Two villains would seize a Greek man or woman, lift them high, and slam them down with force onto the sharp, pointed iron stake, so that the tip passed through the entrails and reached the chest. They impaled forty-four in this way. Thus transfixed, they writhed like beetles that children pierce with a needle for amusement. A howl of mortal agony rose to the heavens. It lasted about an hour, then faded, and their heads lolled to the side." Torture by hanging and impalement was so common during this period that the phrase became proverbial among our people: "He is a man of the rope and the stake!" The Frenchman Jean Antoine Guer, in his 1774 book "Customs and Habits of the Turks", describes impalement in the Ottoman Empire. Impalement was used as a method of exemplary execution of Greek Christian prisoners. In Patras, the Muslim Turks arrested a father and son and, after skewering them, lit a fire and forced the other prisoners to roast them like lambs. Ali Pasha was even more inventive in this regard: he slow-roasted his victims, thinning out the coals beneath them in order to prolong the torment and his own amusement, as well as that of his staff. In many cases, when he impaled Greek Christians, he forced relatives to torture and kill their own family members in order to avoid being impaled and roasted themselves. The impalement of Greeks in Patras in April 1821 is mentioned by François Pouqueville, drawing from the diary of his brother Hugues, who was present at the events: "Headless corpses, severed limbs scattered here and there... Soldiers drag women and children by the hair. In a ditch, impaled Greeks were breathing their last." The impalement of two Greeks in Patras during the same days is also reported by the Turkophile English consul Philip Green. He also states that many Ionian Greeks captured in the Battle of Lala were impaled by the Turks and Albanians, while a sack full of noses and ears was sent to the Sultan as a trophy. The newspaper "Ellinika Chronika", printed in besieged Missolonghi, reports the impalement of certain Greek civilians on 8 December 1825: "On the 8th of the same month [December]. In front of the enemy gun emplacements we saw today a priest, two women, and some men and boys impaled, whom the most savage and merciless barbarians had captured and condemned to such a cruel death, and they set them up in front of their gun emplacements as trophies of their inhumanity... In an enemy raid carried out around that time in the province of Venetiko, the Turks captured some women and children, who were brought to the enemy camp and condemned by the Arch-barbarian to such a loathsome death." The Dutch consul in Chios in 1822 describes the impalement of two Greeks during the Massacre of Chios. One of them, named Giakoumakis or Salonikios, was the vice-consul of Denmark and had openly declared his support for the revolutionaries. The Turks broke into his house, where he had raised the Danish flag, and led him along with other Greeks to the castle of Chios, where the pasha ordered him to be impaled. The impalement took place in the square of Vounaki using a church candelabrum, which emerged from his left shoulder. His agony lasted two days.

The Albanian Muslim Ali Pasha, on January 11, 1801, executed the Greek Christian woman Kyra Frosyni together with 17 other Greek women by drowning them in the lake of Ioannina. According to Islamic customs, women could only be executed at night. In the freezing midnight hours of January 11, the women were all led together into boats on Lake Pamvotida in Ioannina. The executioners threw them into the water – tied up and not inside sacks, as was the Islamic custom. One version states that they were put into sacks, but Frosyni and her servant (possibly her elderly nurse) managed, before being placed in the sacks, to jump into the water tied up and drowned like the rest. Some of the women submitted fatalistically, reciting their prayers, while others shouted “Help!” One of the executioners later said that he had seen many tortures, but he would never forget the faces of the women in the water and that he would wake up many nights hearing their screams in his nightmares. The bodies washed ashore and were buried amid general outrage, but Ali Pasha announced that the Greeks were wrong to protest, since he would have spared their lives if even one of their relatives had appeared in time. For the 18 women, it was also decided to seal their houses at the same time and confiscate their properties. 200 years ago, the Greeks were literally liberated from barbaric tyrants, filthy disgusting barbarians. These stories remind us why Islam and mosques should either stay far away from us, or we should destroy them completely. -Homer Pavlos

Imagine being programmed your whole life to obey. School trains you. Work drains you. The system owns you. Follow the rules. Pay your taxes. Trust the “experts.” The same experts who: • Cover up the Epstein files while lecturing you on “safety.” • Print endless money, fueling inflation that destroys your savings. • Fund forever wars with your children - and your paycheck. • Ignore corruption and fraud in their own halls. Then it hits you... They claim the earth is overpopulated… yet suddenly care about your health? They push lab-made, glyphosate-laced food as “safe.” They watch everything you do… while hiding everything they do. That tells me everything I need to know. And the craziest part? Nothing changes. New president, same agenda. Different party, same machine. Debt explodes. Rights erode. Eventually, you stop asking: “Who should I vote for?” …and start asking why you’re still playing the game at all. 👁️💊

I am a new Catholic but I am deeply concerned about Bishop Barron. Paula White in an unabashed heretic. He remained silent when His Eminence was refused from the Holy Sepulchre but penned a Twitter novel lambasting Carrie PreJean over her theologically-sound views regarding Zionism. Today, the Bishop promotes Ben Shapiro as his friend— Ben, to his credit, has always been honest about his views that Christ was a criminal who is burning in feces in hell. I will remind you he also once told Ben that he could be saved, before backtracking. I ask you sincerely, what is the proper recourse for this within the church?
