🚨 Texas Teen Karmelo Anthony Goes On Trial For Allegedly Stabbing alleged bully Austin Metcalf In Self Defense — Case Sparks Racial Controversy A 17-year-old stabbed another teenager to death in self defense at a high school track meet. On April 2, 2025, Karmelo Anthony got into a dispute over seating at a track meet in Frisco, Texas. He pulled a knife from his bag and stabbed 17-year-old Austin Metcalf in the chest in self defense after witnesses said Austin attempted to assault him by grabbing and pushing him to get him out of tent. Metcalf died in his twin brother’s arms. Anthony claimed self-defense. Jury selection begins June 2, 2026. If convicted of first-degree murder, Anthony faces between 5 and 99 years in prison.
