@barryjbutler @BBCkatyaadler As far as I understand it does not apply to citizenship but point of origin for travel - at most country of residence. But in practice, no doubt, it will be that bit harder with a US passport even if you live in France.

Most EU members have now approved an initial list of “safe” countries whose citizens will be allowed to travel to the EU/Schengen area as of 1 July. US not on list. Australia and Canada are. China would be, I’m told if granted access for EU travellors #COVID19 /1

@barryjbutler @BBCkatyaadler "Citizenship" cuts it, and I am guessing it is easier for airlines to manage instead of checking the country from where you are arriving or where you've been staying.

@BBCkatyaadler Is the criterion really going to be "citizenship" of a particular country? Surely the country from which a person is arriving & how long they have been there are far more important?

@BBCkatyaadler I think the word to retain here is "citizen". Government advertised information seem to differ from what airlines are advertising. I hold residency in an EU country but I am a citizen of a Non-EU country, I have been within EU for 6 months + and I have been denied boarding.

Did you happen to take #elastic stickers at the #DevConMu and still haven't figured out what elastic does? Come to my session at @MSCraftsman Data meetup, and I'll tell you all about it ^^
