@Mauty480 @CubsAtBat Still has a better follow to follower ratio than you though 🤡

If this play happened at Benchmark International Arena, Dobes would have saved it and the rebound would have gone to center ice for a Texier breakaway goal

@AntonyLP2 @TBFan613 Bitter franchise, star players aging. Probably looking at more decline next year. Kucherov still amazing though

Hayes gives his thoughts on Marner's early postseason success.
Do you agree with his take? #OverDrive @OverDrive1050

@ECloskyWTSP Backloaded schedule, hopefully not a repeat of last season.

@JacksonB_99 I think he needs time with the top 6 to see his real potential

@PierreVLeBrun Bowman has expedited the closing of Edmonton’s window and it’s only getting worse.

Knoblauch’s three-year extension was set to kick in next season. Oilers will still owe him that.
Ryan Rishaug@TSNRyanRishaug
The Oilers have relieved Kris Knoblauch of his coaching duties.

@PierreVLeBrun They fall on their face every year in the conf final. Not weird…

It’s weird how little attention Carolina is getting for this run. Maybe because the Metro wasn’t that good this year. But 7-0 in the playoffs is still 7-0. Really impressive.
Having said that, I still think the winner of Montreal-Buffalo can give them a real test.

Seven games in, the Carolina Hurricanes are still perfect in the playoffs. Carolina can complete the sweep on Saturday in Philadelphia. nytimes.com/athletic/72617…

I’m gonna be honest…
There’s not a single UFA here I’d be interested in (other than Rasmus Andersson) if I’m the #GoBolts

There will be no shortage of money for NHL teams to spend this summer after the league confirmed this week a salary cap jump to $104 million for next season. What will they spend it on?

@vinniebacon @JFreshHockey All thanks to the terrible playoff format
English

@JFreshHockey This is the worst round 2 after a great round 1. Two of the four series basically decided, and one with two teams I hate (VGK and Ducks). Hoping at least MTL/BUF turns out to be watchable.

@ECloskyWTSP Bolts get zero puck luck, but they continue to be sloppy at home.

Marty literally stole this line from Torts haha.
That’s exactly what Torts told them during the 04 run after they lost Game 6 to Philly.

Habs coach Marty St. Louis tonight after the game 6 OT loss: “It’s meant to be. It’s destiny that wants our young team with many players who’ve never played a game 7. I think it’s part of our journey. You have to embrace it.”

@mcclusk He destroyed the Blackhawks, now he’s destroying Edmonton. Shocked he found another GM job

Oilers gotta fire Stan Bowman, right?
- Failed to find goaltending. Stuart Skinner's $2.6m would have come off the books this year. Now they're on the hook for 2 more years with Jarry at $5.375m. They threw in a second round pick in this deal.
- Lost Holloway and Broberg to unmatched offer sheets. - Signed Trent Frederic to an unmovable 8-year, $30m contract.
- Traded a 1st for now 30 year-old Jake Walman, whose 7x7m deal kicks in next season. This is more egregious than Steve Yzerman trading Walman and a 2nd to San Jose for future considerations.
- Savoie for McLeod trade may yet benefit their future, but it hasn't improved their immediate contention window.
Yeah, they made 2x cup finals in a row - once under Bowman. That's when Draisaitl was making $8.5m.
Irreversible damage. Generational fumble.
English

Signing Frederic for 32 million when you could’ve kept Holloway for 39 million is among the decisions that is at the top of the list of things that caused Edmonton to go awry.
dom 📈@domluszczyszyn
A stupid good deal for Dylan Holloway
