One Last Kill was always conceived as a larger story. The 44 minute runtime was a limitation not a creative choice. Green and Bernthal co-wrote the special together and both believe Frank Castle deserves a full feature film treatment. No formal pitch has been made to Marvel Studios yet. But both the director and lead actor are publicly aligned on wanting it to happen. For context Charlie Cox followed a similar path. Daredevil appeared in Spider-Man No Way Home and multiple Disney+ shows before getting his own solo series in Born Again Season 1. A full Punisher film would be the next logical step in that pipeline.
