@BKMurder101 @gncgalactus and he had ZERO clue makes them an incredibly dangerous threat. The fact that he only finds out they exist because they want him to makes them terrifying, and the later in his career that happens, the more impressive they seem.

@BKMurder101 @gncgalactus It's the exact opposite for me. I think they were as compelling as they were because Bruce was very established as Batman. Having him so confident in his understanding of his city, only to find out there'd been this massive criminal organization behind the scenes the entire time

@matpolloy To be fair, Rey is getting a new novel this summer and Finn got one a few months back, so it's not like they're ignoring them completely But yes, a comic would be nice

Where to begin… #TheMandalorianAndGrogu is one of the worst Star Wars movies ever. It’s on par with the awful sequel trilogy. Grogu eats food the entire film. Din Djarin is a side character, trash arc. The plot is pedestrian. Peak Garbage! Don’t waste your time #ThisIsNotTheWay

@TSoS_ Because a very loud chunk of the "Fandom" has spent the last 10 years telling everyone who can hear them how garbage Star Wars has become. Probably wanting to play it safe and test the waters using characters that have been largely successful, even with general audiences.

To no one's surprise, every review from a non-Star Wars fan account is calling the Mandalorian and Grogu out for what the marketing has suggested for almost a year: This movie is a few episodes of the series stitched together. Apparently there's no narrative tissue that even connects it to the three Seasons of the series; its a strategic move through and through, testing the waters for Star Wars on the big screen after 7 years of absence and allowing everyone to see it, even those who never got past the first episode of the series. I'm fine with watching an Indiana Jones style space adventure and considering the terrible writing of the third Season, it might be for the better that there is no bigger plot here that connects to the series. But I can't help but think the same thing I thought when this movie was announced: Why? Why play it this safe and boring for your return to the big screen? You are STAR WARS. The most groundbreaking movie franchise in history. Why does your movie feel like a TV show? Why does it look like a TV show? These early reviews help to keep my low expectations even further in check. I still find it a very bleak situation and it's sad that I HAVE to root for this film's success at the box office, because only through big, very succesful flagship projects like this one can we even dream of getting something more niche like Andor again.

@Catlover10000S @Dylan_Tyler Do you think it’s possible that you’re forcing your disdain for Rey a bit? That’s a lot of problems to have for just this one aspect of Rey’s story… it comes off as more “dramatic reaction” than it does actual insight…

@retneysholocron Agreed. I'm so sick of people feeling the need to shit on things as a knee-jerk reaction to liking other things. It's obnoxious.

If you're unable to praise Heir to the Empire (or any story really) without saying something like this that excludes other fans and puts down other Star Wars stories, I think you genuinely lack maturity and the ability to respect others who like things that you don't

@hajackson996 @therennerd Not how that works. The MCU doesn't magically become source material just because it's got the Marvel logo. Source Material is the original, foundational material. For Star Wars, that's the movies. All the books, comics and games are based on said Source Material

@Dylan_Tyler @therennerd Anything that says “STAR WARS” in big bold letters is source material. That means movies, tv shows, comic books, books. Kathleen Kennedy said the only thing we’re going off of is the original trilogy and gave full control to progressive writers that have never seen Star Wars

The person who defends George Lucas Star Wars. The person who supported and carried the franchise on their back from 1977-2012. The person who read books, played games, shared passion. That person is a Real Star Wars fan. Not fake fans who only cared once Disney took over.

Who’s the real Star Wars fan? The person who actually enjoys Star Wars, or the person who spends all of their time bitching about how current studio leadership is doing everything wrong?

@muaddibstyle Id disagree, the narrative reaffirms it. Not only clearly disowning the Jedi title multiple times. Also Seeking revenge (something a jedi shouldn't do). Refusing to take Grogu in and Refusing to help Luke rebuild the order, cuz she knows, she's not one of them.

@therennerd This post infuriates me because apparently Kathleen Kennedy who was given the keys to the Star Wars kingdom looked at this and said “there’s no source material” What actual bullshit.

@danversio from who he was before. I do the same thing with Vader and Anakin. The moment Sidious dubs him Darth Vader I refer to him as such. Not because they're different people, but because that's just his name now. Vader is the one who tries to pretend "The Jedi" was a different person.

@danversio No, that's not what he's saying. He's saying that Vader himself feels that he's no longer Anakin, which is just true. I'm reading Thrawn: Alliances right now. Every single time he remembers something from before, he refers to himself as "The Jedi" making a point to separate him
