@Almost_Sure Do you know of an exact way of calculating this probability? I’ve been thinking about it since yesterday and ran simulations + found the same estimation as you. Tried some markov configuration but didn’t work out entirely

The poll is now closed - the correct answer is: nearly 100% The players almost always end on the same digit! just under 1/3 of you got it correct. The reason is coupling (see included details), giving about a 97.5% chance of them ending on the same digit. Also: see simulation

Draw 100 independent random digits from 0 to 9. 2 players each do 1. Randomly choose one of the first 10 digits 2. Move forward as many places as the digit hit (0 means move 10) 3. Repeat until it goes beyond place 100 What is probability of recording the same last digit hit?

it means results that dont show significance are not published. only results that show a novel signficant outcome are published (they are more interesting) but thats usually not good because "non-significant" answers are still important. it means we know something isn't correlating or causing some effect for example if you take a meta analysis, where you take many study results and combine them together to form new conclusions, you dont get all the "non significant" data points. they should be a force to balance the "significant" results so certain outcomes are amplified when they probably shouldn't be

it's obv better in lol to keep your cursor close to your champ in order to do movements faster and with higher precision. despite this every pro does the mistake of using edge pan to move camera, instead of drag scroll which allows u to move cam while keeping cursor close to hero

@zeddofps Purpose of global bias is just to force enemy to aim in a wider arc, and in the extreme case of very short local modulations to prevent them from being able to lock onto the geometric point of the map on which we aren’t moving away from. But good to see you tweet this

@zeddofps Just be careful with the terms. “If you’re not being hit, why change your direction?” has nothing explicitly to do with global bias, but with the local modulations.

CLEARING CONFUSION: Bias Strafing is not a “new movement term” & is related to active dodging; if you’re not being hit, why change your direction? :05 is a clearest example of this here. If I had no bias, I would’ve strafed back into their bullets. Hopefully that clears some confusion! I plan on making an updated Lurch Strafe guide, that will better explain the mechanical aspects of lurching, but more importantly, better explain my ideology on how I use the specific in game mechanic of lurching, mixed with the already established ideas of biased/global Strafing

@TeqAPEX @Paradux0z which fundamental concepts "dont make sense in pro BR"?

@Paradux0z sure a bunch could benefit from some basics, but it’s hard to filter what’s useful and what’s not from someone who hasn’t been in the shoes of a comp player. There are plenty of fundamental concepts that simply do not make sense in pro BR

how come all of these self proclaiming mechanics (aim, strafe, dodge, etc) coaches only play pubs against bots that can’t shoot back or have no understanding of any fundamentals

@TeqAPEX It’s inverse to what most believe. Eating burger with fork is for the working man, where clean hands are not guaranteed. At a nice restaurant however you’re allowed certain eccentricities - and eating a burger with your hands would be a part of the experience.

@Milly_apex @rknhd I recommend this to get some inspiration, and then to read the AIMER7 guides. Read slowly, think, and then practice applying in control, r5, or quake. Good luck! youtu.be/-cLwctD6YSI

Hello nerds. I am interested in all levels of individual mechanics, aim, and team fight coaching leading up to and during split 2. Would like to utilize r5 and in game over sitting in kovaaks. Believe it or not my kovaaks score are very good. I suck at converting it in game.

@scuwry Aimer7’s guides have been available as an incredible framework for mechanics for years now. Taking the time to study it and practice in a mode that allows for experimentation is an easy way to improve your mechanics and reduce your variance. It doesn’t take much time relatively.

The MnK FPS scene under utilizes mirror strafing within tracking heavy games (or just strafing to better aim in general)
