@405Automation@glenn_coin@mitchjpmorris@SouthamptonFC@Boropolis They could have had 10 chances and they wouldn’t have scored. We literally sat in our penalty area for 45 minutes. If you can’t make the most of that you don’t deserve to win games. Our spies must have said soak it up lads they can’t hit a barn door 😂😂
@ashersfc@glenn_coin@mitchjpmorris@SouthamptonFC@Boropolis And how do you know that they wouldn't have had a further three chances to score, if you hadn't spied? Answer - you don't.
You attempted to gain an advantage by spying and ended up winning.
Reap what you sow.
🚨 Southampton players including Taylor Harwood-Bellis are said to be ‘raging’ at having their shot at a place in the Premier League & the lucrative salaries & status that come with it snatched away #saintsfc@talkSPORT
BREAKING: Southampton have been expelled from the play-off final 🚨
Middlesbrough have been reinstated for Saturday’s showdown at Wembley against Hull City ⚽️
@EFL_Comms I get the seriousness, but spare a thought for Saints fans who’ve bought tickets/trains/hotels, Dads having to tell small kids they aren’t going to Wembley. Not the fans’ fault. Huge mess.
An Independent Disciplinary Commission has today expelled Southampton from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs after the Club admitted to multiple breaches of EFL Regulations related to the unauthorised filming of other Clubs’ training.
In addition, the Club has received a four-point deduction that will be applied to the 2026/27 Championship table.
The effect of today’s order is that Middlesbrough are reinstated into the 2026 Play-Offs and will proceed to the Play-Off Final against Hull City. The final remains scheduled for Saturday 23 May, with the kick-off time to be confirmed.

Well, I think we arguably made that mistake last summer. Buying good players is sometimes not enough. The lesson is to buy the right players and to not be pressured into buying good players for the sake of it - like us last summer.
Either way, I hope we don't make the same mistakes this summer.
@405Automation@GianfrancoShoIa Well yes, but it's very hard to disentangle your performance drop (or lift) when you lose the player who basically dictates your whole team performance than one who is an awkward fit but talented. It's hard to know what lesson there is to learn of just "buy good players".
Surley that is Gordon gone then? Given how things played out with Isak, the fact he has "agreed terms" with Bayern must mean we have given some kind of approval for those conversations to happen right? Just comes down to price now, have to hope that doesnt take ages #nufc
@NickySillett@GianfrancoShoIa It's more a point around making the right signings with money. No one can argue that the Bale money was spent on quality players that worked out. Hard to argue that any outside of Erikswn were worth the money paid.
Liverpool absolutely nailed that.
@405Automation@GianfrancoShoIa But the huge difference between those two examples was that Bale was entirely propelling Tottenham's form. Coutinho was actually being marginalised in the direction they were going under Klopp and becoming a more and more awkward fit in the team.
Are peoples reservations on Bowen age, profile or price related?
Personally, If we could get him on the cheaper side (due to age and relegation,) I would be all over him. Not a chance we should be paying 50-60m that's been quoted.
Or do people just not rate him enough? #nufc
I'm just a humble boy from a council estate who started putting away 500 a month 3 years ago.
Not because I got a massive wage rise. I've been in the same job 4 years.
Because I made lifestyle adjustments.
It doesn't sound a lot. But if you invest it, it soon adds up.
Just past 23k. My first milestone on the way to a million is 25. I hope to be there soon
@IvanBird1969@BlackPaintit@GBInvestor1990 You asked how he's going to make a million in a lifetime when he's only made £5k in three years. You clearly don't understand compound interest. Additionally, 8% has broadly held for several decades now for diversified equity investing.
You've had a mare.
@405Automation@BlackPaintit@GBInvestor1990 Realistic lifetime mate, not some fantasy world. All the money and interest (being at least 8% every year) being reinvested and saved every month for 35 years, without fail. Yeah that's realistic and totally achievable mate, that's why everyone turning 60 is a millionaire 🤣
@BlackPaintit@IvanBird1969@GBInvestor1990 10% averaged over decades is optimistic but plausible for S&P 500.
7-8% more realistic.
Even at 8% he'd break £1m in 35 years.
Point being, scoffing at his £5k return is stupid. Even £650 at 5% gets you ~£720k over 35 years. £1m very doable for him.
