What Hasan is failing to realize is that he’s posing as if he’s part of the working class when in reality he’s participating in laissez-faire capitalism.
That’s why people call it a larp; you are a communist that’s happy to push propaganda while being at the top of capitalism.
Hasan couldn’t even help Frogan (his employee as she claims to work for him) with her medical bills, but he wants everyone else to fall in line with his values when he can’t follow them himself.

The problem with the American anti-imperialist left is that, in many cases, their activism is built around a savior complex that expects the oppressed to operate within a monolithic victimization tied to a preferred political identity, one that ultimately serves the agenda of the savior (in this case, the anti-imperialist left). When said victim does not act as expected, they are met with vitriol and disdain.
This is why the Western left often has disdain for diaspora communities, because they can’t fit them into their preferred ideological box.
