@calvinrobinson And I, a lifelong supporter of the Armed Forces, would not want my sons in their twenties to fight for Britain. The fight is here, at home.

“Half of young people would never fight for Britain” A large number of them are not British. Those who are British probably do not want to fight for their replacement. We have a weak king & a traitorous government. Who would want to fight for them? Make Britain British Again.

Now it turns out that Keir Starmer hired Peter Mandelson to be his US Ambassador after he FAILED his security vetting. The Foreign Office had to use a rare power to the overrule security officials due to Keir Starmer announcing his role beforehand. Outrageous. He must resign.

LATEST: A man has been arrested in connection with reports that someone had been in the process of cutting down a decades-old tree in Southend’s Priory Park. The man was reportedly seen by other park users hacking away at the “much-loved wisteria”. Essex Police have confirmed that they received a call at around 4.35pm on Monday 6 April about the suspect in Priory Park, after they had allegedly been seen attempting to cut down trees with “a small axe”. Your Southend has seen video footage of the incident which corroborates the report. Police officers arrived at the park and arrested a 46 year-old man on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. The man remained in in police custody today for questioning. Essex Police have not confirmed if they are treating the incident as being linked to any other incident, including the recent significant vandalism to multiple trees in Southend Cemetery. Lydia Hyde, Southend councillor for climate, environment and waste, said: “Sadly, I can now reveal that they did succeed in causing damage - including sawing through a much-loved wisteria in the Walled Garden at Priory Park. “This spectacular display is a favourite for so many residents and visitors each year, and it will be sorely missed. While we will do everything we can to replace it, it takes decades for a wisteria to establish and reach the beauty of what has been lost. “Thank you again to Essex Police and our Parks team for their swift response, and for treating this incident with the seriousness it deserves.” If you have any information or video footage in relation to the incident, you are urged to contact Essex Police. You should quote the crime reference number 42/52325/26 when submitting information. You can submit information to the police via a report on their website or by using their online Live Chat service which is available 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week. If you would like to make an anonymous report you can contact independent charity Crimestoppers, by visiting their website or by calling 0800 555 111. @MarkJLittlewood As a teacher there is no Union I can belong to which represents me. So I am not in a Union and I know a lot of teachers in the same position. I get sick and tired of the NEU claiming to represent teachers. They don't.

@Fox_Claire @Fox_Claire I'm a teacher and I'm not in the NEU. Please remember that they don't represent all of us. It's not easy being a teacher if you're not left wing.

Update: I emailed the relevant diocese safeguarding representatives and got a reply right away from one of them saying this: “Thank you for contacting the Diocese safeguarding team with your safeguarding concerns about this church event in Southend.
I can confirm receipt of your message and that I have contacted the Archdeacon for the relevant area (the Venerable Sue Lucas, Archdeacon of Southend) to link with her to be able to fully respond to the points that you have raised in your email below.   I will endeavour to come back to you today with a further response as I see that the event is scheduled for tomorrow.” The problem is I never did receive an email back after that, and since then I have found out that other people also received the exact same copy&paste message. I personally think what’s happening here is known as “brushing it under the carpet and hoping no one else notices”.
TheFamousArtistBirdyRose@TheFamousArtBR

This weekend, a church in my local area (St Mark’s Church) is hosting a “TRANS HEALTH EVENT” focused around a “BINDER SWAP” and a session about “Medical Transitioning”.
I think it’s absolutely disgusting, and disturbing that a church would promote such a controversial and dangerous ideology in this way, I think it’s a massive potential safeguarding risk.
What’s worse about promoting binders is that “binders” are no different to any other “breast ironing” practices - which are recognised by the UN as a CRIME against girls. It’s weird to see a Christian church in the UK celebrating deforming, mutilating and harming girls in this way. Binders cause all sorts of issues from deformities, to breathing problems, breast tissue damage and increased risk of breast cancer.
Developing girls should NEVER be encouraged to participate in this practice - let alone swapping them with each other which could leave them vulnerable to potential skin infection risks and all sorts.
As for “Medical Transitioning” sessions - this is really not the time to be pretending that sterilising kids and taking unnecessary hormones is OKAY. Particularly not during the week when a detransitioner has just won a $2 million lawsuit for medical malpractice… BECAUSE SO CALLED “GENDER AFFIRMING CARE” IS MEDICAL MALPRACTICE.

Anyway, I made a video about it and I’ve written a letter to the local safeguarding representatives which can be used as a template if anyone else wants to raise the alarm on this. Check below for these.

Latest: There has been major progress on the 'Better Queensway' redevelopment in Southend as a large section of the roundabout bridge over the underpass has now been fully demolished, following the removal of a second pedestrian footbridge too. The long-running project will see the underpass filled in and replaced with a new two-lane, street-level roundabout. Once complete, the junction will have four entry and exit points instead of five. The Sutton Road entry and exit will be removed entirely, with traffic redirected behind All Saints' Church under the new layout. Roadworks across the Queensway area are expected to continue until late 2027. Images by El Trevo and Kevin Axford.

⚠️ Advance Traffic Alert: There will be a FULL road closure in place at Queensway from 8pm on Friday 9 Jan to 5am on Monday 12 Jan. The road closure is to allow contractors to demolish the footbridge that passes above the road. All lanes on both sides will be closed to traffic. Temporary traffic lights and temporary pedestrian crossings will be put in place.

Queensway underpass will soon be filled in, as Southend begins one of its biggest road changes in decades. The 1960s underpass will be raised up and replaced with a raised dual carriageway leading towards the seafront and the city centre. These major roadworks as part of the 'Better Queensway' scheme will begin Monday 8 December 2025, delivered by project partner Taylor Woodrow. Southend City Council says the changes will bring long term improvements, including better access at street level, a smaller roundabout for smoother traffic, new ground level pedestrian crossings, upgraded cycle routes linking Victoria Station to the seafront, and underground water storage to help prevent flooding. Councillor Kevin Robinson said the project is a chance to reshape the heart of the city, improve safety and accessibility, and support new homes and investment. Once the road project is completed, the wider redevelopment then includes plans for around 1,600 new homes. What do you think of the plans?

On and off the pitch, football breaks down barriers and helps end the stigma around mental health - opening up conversations that change lives. At its best, football connects us to something greater than the game: each other.⚽️ // Dentro e fora de campo, o futebol derruba barreiras e ajuda a acabar com o estigma em torno da saúde mental, abrindo espaço para conversas que transformam vidas. Em sua melhor forma, o futebol nos conecta a algo maior do que o jogo: uns aos outros.⚽️
